⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🛢 Strike on Oil Refinery in Kirovograd Region⚡️

According to our information, the RF armed forces carried out a missile attack on an oil refinery of the Kirovograd Oil Company near #Shestakovka village this morning (16 Feb).

A large fire broke out on the spot. Judging by the large cloud of thick black smoke, the munition hit the fuel tanks stored there. This indicates that the facility was operational at the time of the attack.

Interestingly, even before the SMO, this refinery was featured in corruption scandals. Ukrainian law enforcement authorities accused its owners of illegal refining of oil from deposits in #Chernigov region with subsequent sale bypassing taxes and excise duties.

It was these small, semi-legal refineries that partly helped the Kiev authorities cushion the impact of the Russian strikes on oil depots in the spring and avoid severe fuel shortages with reduced deliveries of fuel and lubricants to Ukrainian formations.

▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads are fighting in #Paraskoviyevka. Now the offensive on the #Bakhmut suburbs is advancing from three sides, with the most intense clashes observed in the south. Despite the rather difficult situation, the Ukrainian formations are still holding their positions - in fact, fighting continues for every house.

▪️ Meanwhile, Russian units have entrenched on several sections of the #Bakhmut - #Slavyansk highway in the directions of #Orekhovo - #Vasilevka and #Berkhovka, advanced closely to the village of #Zaliznyanskoye, and also occupied heights west of #Blagodatnoye, knocking out the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade behind a nearby water reservoir.
