🔹 Fierce fighting continues near #Bakhmut. The efforts of Russian troops are focused on the capture of Krasnyaya Gora and #Paraskoviyevka north of #Bakhmut, the development of success near "Sacco and Vanzetti" on the right bank of the Bakhmutovka River, and the physical cutting of roads from Chasov Yar to #Bakhmut in the west.

▪️ The Wagner PMC Assault Squads, supported by regular RF Armed Forces formations, effectively closed the encirclement ring around the AFU's 54th Mechanized Brigade defending in the ruined village of Krasnaya Gora.
➖ The Ukrainiancommand of the Operational Task Group 'Soledar' is unable to rotate personnel and withdraw them from the village.
➖ One of the enemy companies fled from the front, suffering irreparable losses.
➖ The option of deploying additional assault groups is still under consideration, but no decision has yet been made due to the risk of losing personnel to a counterattack.

▪️ The Russian assault groups are being targeted by enemy army aviation. Ukrainian Mi-8 and Mi-24 aircraft have been engaged from an airfield in #Myrnoye west of #Donetsk. Aircraft have been redirected from #Ugledar and #Maryinka to #Bakhmut.

▪️ Concurrently, a Bayraktar TB2 UAV supplied from Turkey, which provides targeting for Ukrainian artillery, has been conducting reconnaissance of the west of the DPR near #Kramatorsk for the past 24 hours.

▪️ The withdrawal of some Ukrainian units that were planned to be deployed near #Kremennaya and in #Terny has been recorded from #Liman. The withdrawn formations have been transferred to #Kramatorsk, and it is planned to send them to the front line in #Bakhmut in the future.
➖ Some units of the newly formed 47th Artillery Brigade of the AFU are also being sent there.

▪️ Not everything is going smoothly in the AFU's 30th Mechanized Brigade and 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. Due to fire control over supply lines, rotation of units and ammunition deliveries are complicated. Regrouping has now been organised, but it is torn and disruptive.

🔹 The foreign mercenaries operating near #Bakhmut mostly stay in the second or third lines of defence. Young recruits, mobilised and Territorial Defence units hold the defence in the forefront.

📌 The use of untrained and unexperienced recruits allows them to temporarily "fill up" the front with "cannon fodder", slowing the advance of Russian troops and buying time for the supply of relatively modern equipment from the West.

🔹#Svatovo - #Kremennaya Direction:

➖ There is no change near #Kremennaya. Local battles and counter-battery fighting.
➖ In #Makeyevka LPR our artillery has worked off a cluster of militants.
➖ The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported strikes on the enemy near #Novosyolovskoye LPR, #Gryanikovka, #Krakhmalnoye and #Novomlynsk in the #Kharkov region. Russian artillery, aviation and heavy flamethrower systems also hit militants near #Stelmakhovka, #Nevskoye LPR and #Yampolovka DPR.

🔹#Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector:

➖ The "orchestrators" have squeezed the militants out of their positions at Krasnaya Gora, and ours are also advancing in #Paraskoviyevka.
➖ At the moment the AFU defence north of #Artyomovsk is disorganised. The enemy is sending reserves, but this is not helping.
➖ To the south of the city our forces are advancing near #Krasnoye and #Stupochki.
➖ Militants even blew up a road bridge over the Seversky Donets-Donbass channel on the #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) - #Konstantinovka highway, which hints at the imminent retreat of the enemy, and the morale of the militants speaks directly about it.

🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:

➖ According to MoD, artillery and aviation strikes were launched against AFU militants near #Ugledar, #Pavlovka and #Novosyolka in the DPR. Enemy losses amounted to more than 95 militants, two BMPs, two vehicles, an M109 Paladin artillery system, as well as three D-20 howitzers and a Hyacinth-B howitzer.

📈 Amid an increase in casualties and cases of surrenders, Ukrainian authorities have stepped up forced mobilisation across #Ukraine.

Replenishment of losses is being carried out by conscripting all citizens into the ranks of the AFU, regardless of whether they have a deferment or severe health problems.

🔹 What is the situation on the home front?

The main tasks of mobilization are assigned to the staff of territorial recruitment centres.

Each of them must fulfil the recruitment plan set by the Ukrainian authorities.

If more are recruited, bonuses are awarded; in the reverse situation, the officer may be called up to the front himself.

▪️ The abolition in #Ukraine of additional payments for security forces on the home front has led to a tightening of mobilisation.

To carry out the plan, armed patrols are on duty on the streets, searching for male personnel and promptly sending them to the front.

▪️ State-owned enterprises have been instructed to provide a list of the 20% least valuable employees who can be mobilised as a priority.

▪️ At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities have initiated total checks on members of the security services and their family members for possible cooperation with Russia.

Even if distant relatives are found in #Russia, the most severe penalties can be imposed on an employee.

🔹 What is the situation with combat pay?

The Ukrainian leadership has stripped 100,000 hryvnia bonuses from fighters and their support staff who are not involved in combat operations on the front.

▪️ Liaison officers, drivers and engineers, even on the line of contact, cannot claim extra pay.

In the event of such an employee's death, their family will not be able to receive the allowance.

▪️ Any payments are only for those on a mission to defeat the enemy, and all others, including AFU soldiers away from the front, can only claim the standard peacetime salary.

🔹What are the implications of this?

Deprivation of additional payments has further exacerbated sentiments among members of Ukrainian formations and their support staff.

▪️ In the armed forces, the AFU command records an exodus of fighters with the legal right to leave military service.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leadership will be able to compensate for the loss of even a quarter of the personnel of the armed forces at the expense of mobilization resources.

▪️ However, the discharged fighters will be replaced not only by untrained unmotivated mobilized soldiers, but also by those with various health problems.

📌 The Ukrainian leadership will use such fighters as expendable material, leaving the most professional units behind or sending them for training under the supervision of NATO instructors.

The main task of the newly mobilised units is to hold the line until elite units are trained and sufficient Western equipment arrives.

The #UN is preparing a resolution on #Ukraine to coincide with 24 February. According to AP, Kiev and its allies are preparing it. The document will state the need to achieve peace that will ensure #Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In essence, the document will repeat a previous UN General Assembly resolution to #Russia on the immediate withdrawal of troops from #Ukrainian territory. The text will be broader and less detailed than Zelensky's "peace formula".
