Russian troops began an assault on Ugledar.
Ugledar is of key importance for the Russian Federation, it is a strategically important point of communications in the south of Donbas, a border for the deployment of the future Ukrainian offensive on the Crimean Corridor.
The capture of Ugledar will significantly improve the strategic position of the Russian army in the Donbass, and will allow the defense to be deepened. The goal of the Russian command in the 2023 campaign is to capture the entire Donbas, or push our army away from the Crimean corridor. To capture Ugledar, the Russians concentrated their best forces - brigades of marines and airborne troops, ammunition stocks.
For us, the successful defense of Ugledar is a task of maximum losses to Russian elite brigades. We remember how the Russians tried to capture Vugledar for the first time in the fall, and stopped in the village of Pavlivka near the city. The Russian regular army is very sensitive to losses, and in the Russian media there was then a wave that the Russian marines were defeated. Ugledar is a convenient line of defense, it is on the heights, the enemy is advancing from the lowlands, there are opportunities to inflict a new defeat on the enemy.
The battle for Vugledar will determine the entire course of the subsequent war in southern Ukraine in 2023.

Lancet UAVs have effectively proven themselves over the past several months of SMO as a high-precision hitter against various types of weaponry, including towed artillery.
One of the most frequently hit targets for UAVs during the SMO has been the 155mm M777 howitzer. The M777 uses light alloys and hydraulics that ignite instantly on impact.
The Lancet's low power charge can put the entire gun out of action if it hits the weak point of the American howitzer, and it cannot be repaired in the field.
The destruction of the M777 in the #Liman area will reduce the combat capabilities of Ukrainian formations in the direction of #Kremennaya. Systematic search and defeat of firing positions allows ground forces to advance more effectively against AFU positions.

💥 On 26 January, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive missile attack, using high-precision long-range air- and sea-based armament, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, against the power facilities that operate Ukraine's defence industrial complex and transport system. The goals of the massive attack have been reached. All the assigned targets have been neutralised.
◽️ The attack has resulted in the frustration of armament and munition transportation to the operations area, including those sent by NATO countries. The production capacities of the entities, tasked to repair and restore the military hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), have been disrupted.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 In Kupyansk direction, the artillery of the 'Zapad' Group of Forces has neutralised the manpower and hardware of the units from 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade near Peschanoye, and 14th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU near Sinkovka (Kharkov region).

♦️#Kharkov Region:
▪️ Near #Ternova, a Russian SRG conducted a reconnaissance battle on the position of the 228th Battalion of the 127th Territorial Defence Brigade. As a result, the Russian fighters broke through the defence line and wedged 500 metres deep.
▪️ Reinforcements from the 206th Battalion of the AFU's 241st Territorial Defence Brigade were transferred from #Volchansk to the vicinity of Kazachya Lopan and #Uda to reinforce the border lines.
▪️ Barrel artillery fire positions have been equipped near Kamenka and Kolodezhnoye, firing at the areas of Russian concentration in LPR and #Belgorod region.
♦️#Sumy Region:
▪️ The AFU command is expecting a Russian offensive from the side of the #Belgorod region in the direction of #Krasnopolye. Mines are being deployed in the border settlements.
▪️ Several reconnaissance groups with small armed UAVs are operating several kilometres from Russian territory to monitor the movements of the RF Armed Forces.

▪️ The formation of new detachments as part of the 9th Army Corps, fully equipped with Western-made equipment, continues. Training partially takes place in the #Odessa region.
➖ To complete the new compounds, 4,000 reservists who previously served in #Ukraine's law enforcement agencies of Ukraine have been collected. Because of the shortage of officers, the selection of soldiers and sergeants under 45 years of age with higher education to take courses with the subsequent awarding of the rank of "junior lieutenant" has begun.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🎬 Destruction of an AFU Stronghold in the #Ugledar Sector⚡️
Fierce fighting continues in the #Ugledar sector near #Ugledar itself. Moving inland is hampered by fortified strongholds along the entire line of contact.
Now the Russian troops are conducting a positional offensive, actively using artillery and aircraft to suppress rear facilities and fortified areas of the AFU. The video shows another use of light multi-purpose guided missiles (LMUR), which are used by Ka-52 and Mi-28N helicopters.
LMURs have already proven to be an effective and accurate means of engaging both stationary and moving targets. In the footage you can see how the missiles clearly fly into the windows of buildings, destroying the AFU stronghold.
The saturation of army aviation with these high-precision missiles is a sure step that allows attack helicopter crews to more effectively support ground units.
