5️⃣ The United States, Israel and 46 other countries have issued a joint statement “unequivocally” condemning Iran’s “large-scale attack” on Israel on Saturday night. More than half of the countries that signed the joint statement were from Europe, with other signatories including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Ecuador, Japan, New Zealand, Micronesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, and South Korea.

6️⃣ Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territory, has said that 25,000 tonnes of explosives have been dropped on Gaza, “largely identified as targets by AI.

7️⃣ Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has said saving UNRWA is “saving lives” at a UNSC briefing on the work of the UN agency, which provides services to millions of Palestinian refugees. UNRWA Chief Philip Lazzarini told the meeting that “a man-made famine is tightening its grip” on the Gaza Strip and without UNRWA the situation would worsen sooner.

At least 33,899 people including more than 15,000 children, have been killed and over 76,664 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The death toll from the October 7 attack in Israel stands at 1,139.
