Just yesterday TROIKA @rustroyka1945 published a photo from the back of a hospital in the besieged city. The AFU losses are really heavy.
♦️If we discard the radio interception data and information from the Wagner PMC headquarters, other intelligence signs also testify to high losses:
▪️ On 24 and 25 December, the redeployment of Kharkov Territorial Defence units began - Battalions 113, 127 and 226 of the Territorial Defence Brigades are being sent to the frontline in #Bakhmut, fraying the frontline on the border with #Belgorod Oblast.
▪️ Moreover, on December 25, it was decided to transfer the 3rd Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard from Zolochev. Let me put it this way. I returned from #Opytnoye (southern suburb of #Bakhmut) the day before yesterday. So because of high losses the AFU will not surrender the city for sure. The enemy has suffered heavy losses there for a long time, but new forces have been and continue to arrive. The last rotation, for example, in #Opytnoye was five days ago (part of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade and some kinds pf Territotiaö Defence Battalions came). And as Rybar correctly says, there are still reserves.
And so far there are no clear signs of the AFU's intentions to leave the town. Heavy fighting continues on the combat contact lines and I have personally witnessed it. In my view, this scenario is now only possible if the threat of an operational or complete encirclement of the city becomes more tangible to the Ukrainian leadership. But that is not a matter for tomorrow.
As for the near-term outlook, I have a strong feeling that the enemy will withdraw from the eastern districts of the city behind the Bakhmutka River and continue the defence there.
From the ground I see it this way for now.
And yes, taking #Bakhmut for the sake of #Bakhmut is not the goal of the Wagner PMC. The main chord of the company is the destruction of the enemy's manpower and equipment. If he begins to fight in the city itself, it means an assault. Fortunately, the musicians have enough experience in fighting in large urban areas.
⚠️ I see it similarly to @brussinf and I have written it before in the comments. The AFU will only be forced to leave #Bakhmuth voluntarily if there is a threat of a cauldron, which cannot be reached overnight. The AFU can no longer afford a second #Mariupol with a elite units in the cauldron. The elite cannot withdraw solo, because then the rest would give up.

▪️ The commands of the 14th and 92nd Mechanized Brigades, as well as the 40th Separate Rifle Brigade and 202nd Battalion of the 103rd Brigade of the AFU's Territorial Defence are conducting aerial reconnaissance over the Russian positions. Observation posts have been set up at the forefront.
▪️ Near #Monachinovka and #Liman 1, mercenary units of the 'International Defense Legion of Ukraine' have been deployed.
♦️#Liman Section:
▪️ The enemy attempted an attack near #Chervonopovka with the forces of the 3rd Battalion of the 25th Airborne Brigade. During the fighting, Ukrainian paratroopers occupied one of the strongholds.
Russian artillerymen massively pounded the AFU positions and stopped the advance. The 25th Brigade is securing its positions and awaiting the arrival of reserves.

▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads have squeezed out the 63rd AFU Mechanized Brigad's units from five platoon strongholds near #Opytnoye on the #Ivangrad side.
▪️ Fierce fighting for the #Kleshchiyevka village is taking place on its eastern outskirts. Units of the 28th Mechanized Brigade are setting up minefields in the central part of the village.
▪️ Artillery crews of the 28th and 53rd Mechanized Brigades and the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the AFU are firing barrage at the RF Armed Forces advance areas. Mavic-3, Matrix-300 and Autel Evo II UAVs provide target acquisition.

Scouts of the Russian 38th Motorized Rifle Brigade detected from the air an AFU stronghold #Gulyaypole (Zaporozhye DIR). There was a group of enemy fighters, as well as several offroad vehicles.
The artillerymen from the Far East struck at the detected position. Part of the rounds hit the surrounding fields, but other shells hit a wooded area and covered the target.
It was largely due to the negligence of the enemy that the location of the Ukrainian formations was discovered. AFU militants were walking quietly in the open terrain and also de-cloaked the shelters with piles of lying rubbish.
Therefore, the video is another clear indication of the need to maintain secrecy at their positions.

A paratroopers group of the AFU's 46th Airmobile Brigade, travelling along the contact line, are ambushed by a Subdivision of our 38th Motorized Rifle Brigade.
The first grenade launcher hit the side of the armoured vehicle, forcing it to stop and the troops inside and on the armoured vehicle to disperse. Most of the militants run into the woods, while the rest hide in the grass and behind the armoured vehicle. After the second grenade launcher hit the unit in an ambush, it opens dagger fire from small arms on the insurgents. As a result, all the enemy personnel were annihilated.
An interesting fact from the account of the participant of this battle: out of the 16 killed AFU paratroopers, only two had Ukrainian documents. The remaining 14 were Polish citizens

Despite rising tensions and threats by the Pristina authorities to disperse the barricades of protesting Serbs, the night in Kosovo and Metohija passed relatively calmly.
▪️Last night, the units of the Kosovo "security forces" in Prizren, Pristina and Peca were put on high alert.
According to local sources, about 1,500 armed Kosovo Albanians were ready to go to the north of the region at any moment to forcefully disperse the Serbs.
▪️Information about the planned action of the authorities of Pristina was confirmed by the President of Serbia. Information resources close to the government reported that in the event of an invasion of the Kosovo security forces in the north of the region, the Serbian Armed Forces would respond with force.
▪️President Aleksandar Vučić held a meeting at night with Patriarch Porfiry of the Serbian Orthodox Church, who was denied entry by the Albanians into the territory of Kosovo and Metohija. Twitter initially believed the Hunter Biden laptop story was 'Russian disinformation'. It was revealed Monday that Jim Baker, Twitter's top lawyer and ex-FBI general counsel, personally intervened to say it should be banned.
Baker told Yoel Roth, Twitter's head of security, that the laptop story should be blocked - a day after getting a top secret briefing from his former FBI colleagues.
Why are the FBI able to do this? Working together, using private businesses to go after individuals right before an election, denying the American public the truth?
