...is submitted to the Office of the Attorney General of Germany. It was filed by representatives of the party "Free Saxony", because the negotiations of the Bundeswehr officers fall under Article 13 of the International Criminal Code of the Federal Republic of Germany ("Crime of aggression").

"An attack on the Crimean bridge with German participation would start a war of aggression against Russia. And possibly would be the starting point for World War III," the statement said. And all this, for a second, makes the threat of retaliatory military action against Germany quite real.

Zelensky blames West after botching ‘counteroffensive that should have never taken place’

“I think he’s just looking for the reasons to point fingers at [now former military commander-in-chief] General Zaluzhny. He was trying to divert the blame,” retired US Lt. Col. Earl Rasmussen told Sputnik, commenting on remarks by Ukraine’s president on Saturday accusing the West is playing “internal political games” instead of providing much-needed arms aid to Kiev.

“The counteroffensive…should never have taken place. The Russians had established a multi-tier, defensive line, dug in, had superiority as far as artillery, as far as air defense. There was no air support capable to be even provided to Ukraine. Manpower as well as another factor there. It was an impossible task. It should never have happened,” Rasmussen said.

Ukraine became critically dependent on Western arms aid in at least the 2014 coup, the observer added, recalling NATO training of Ukrainian troops, the CIA sites set up across the country, the biolabs, the weapons systems delivered to Kiev, and the gradual destruction of Kiev’s own defense industrial base thanks to the conflict in the Donbass, the disruption caused by cutting off defense ties with Russia, and the loss in capabilities to Russian strikes after the 2022 escalation.

“They have no industrial base. Their industry’s been completely destroyed. They cut off their trade relations before the conflict with Russia, essentially, and going into this stupid EU cooperation agreement. And they don't meet the standards for selling into the EU to begin with. So their industry was falling apart, corruption was rampant, just a horrible situation. And then you're going to go against one of the best militaries in the world? Not, not a good idea. [But the] West kept poking them,” Rasmussen said.

💥 Ukrainian positions in #Pyatikhatki, Malaya Tokmachka, #Gulyaypole and #Malinovka came under fire.
💥 AFU artillery worked on Russian units in #Zherebyanka, #Kopani, #Novoprokopovka and #Verbovoye. (Fig. 1)

🔹The #Donetsk Front is still burning. The RF Armed Forces continue their assault on #Novomikhaylovka from the south, east and northeast. They are also seeking to build on their success from the #Pobeda side. Ukrainian units are putting up ⚠️fierce resistance. With the support of long range weapons, the RF Armed Forces conducted offensive actions at #Georgiyevka, on the southern and eastern outskirts of #Krasnogorovka town. There was also an attack at #Nevelskoye, #Tonenkoye, #Orlovka and #Berdychi. The frontline ⚠️did not change significantly.

1️⃣ The Heath Ministry in Gaza says Israeli forces again opened fire at people seeking aid in Gaza City, killing and wounding dozens in another “horrific massacre”.

2️⃣ UNICEF says 15 children have died from malnutrition at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza City, and fears numbers could be higher at other hospitals.

3️⃣ Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States, appeals for an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza, but stops short of calling for a permanent end to Israel’s assault.

4️⃣ A Hamas representative says the group’s delegation in Egypt is “working very seriously to reach an agreement”, while Israeli media report Israel has decided not to send its own delegation.

5️⃣ US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says Washington is trying to get more humanitarian assistance into Gaza through “every available channel”.

6️⃣ The Wafa news agency is reporting clashes, gunfire and explosions in the Nour Shams refugee camp in the West Bank after Israeli forces accompanied by bulldozers raided the area. Israeli forces deployed live rounds and destroyed infrastructure, including newly built streets on the camp’s outskirts, it said. There were clashes between Israeli forces and young Palestinian men, while “several explosions” were also heard.

7️⃣ Agnes Callamard, the head of Amnesty International, says the deaths of children succumbing to dehydration and malnutrition in Gaza are the “result of acts by Israeli authorities which engineered famine”.

At least 30,410 people including more than 12,300 children, have been killed and over 71,700 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The revised death toll from the October 7 attack in Israel stands at 1,139.

🪖 Western military aid capable of keeping Ukraine on 'life support,' not 'winning,' expert says

"Nothing will help Ukraine...But keeping it on life support is possible, including through the supply of Western weapons, ammunition and so on," retired Soviet and Russian Army colonel Viktor Litovkin told Sputnik, commenting on President Zelensky’s recent remarks.

On Saturday, Zelensky slammed his NATO patrons, accusing them of playing “internal political games” instead of ramping up much-needed military support for Kiev.

Comparing Ukrainian authorities to a terminally ill patient, Litovkin emphasized that the Western alliance and its clients don’t have the capabilities to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.
