🇷🇺🇬🇧🐟❌ Russia has banned Britons from fishing in its zone of the Barents Sea
▪️The Russian State Duma has just legally denounced the 1956 agreement that allowed British sailors to fish in the Russian zone of the Barents Sea.
▪️In 2023, British fishermen caught 566 thousand tons of cod in the Barents Sea. Fish - mainly cod - makes up 40% of the British diet.
Nice illustration of the statement by the American economist Paul Craig Roberts, who said that Russia "holds the cards" in the sanctions game back in 2014.

The Economist reporting from the Avdeevka area: a great example of the “defeat is victory” narrative
The article describes the town of Pokrovsk as “a hardscrabble mining spot 45km north-west of Avdeevka”, which is now “crammed with Ukrainian soldiers, many of whom have just retreated from the fallen town."
Heavily fortified, Avdeevka had lain in a salient, surrounded by Russian-held territory for a decade. The Economist quotes Major Rodion Kudriashov, deputy commander of the 3rd Brigade (former «Azov») as saying: “We have lost a small battle, but we have not lost the war.” (Sure enough: a small battle for a town of “no strategic importance,” just like Bakhmut).
The Economist goes on to quote Aleksandr Tarnavsky, the overall commander of the sector, who claimed that 47,000 Russians were killed or injured in four months of battle for Avdeevka. This figure doesn't look particularly realistic given earlier Ukrainian estimates that the entire Russian grouping in the Avdeevka area was 50,000 men strong. Ukrainian forces do not give their own casualty numbers, though Major Kudriashov says they were “far lower” (clearly impossible to verify).
Major Kudriashov says that if Ukrainian forces had had more equipment and ammunition, the battle of Avdeevka would have ended “entirely differently”. Oh, come on, shut the stable door after the horse has bolted!
Drones are responsible for 30-40% of Ukrainian casualties in this sector, according to Asan Charuhov; up from just a handful casualties attributed to drones six months ago. Well, this makes sense, given the strong growth of the Russian drone production, while Ukraine depends on foreign supplies.
“There are no words to explain how tired we are,” says Viter, a Ukrainian soldier. Understandable, given that Ukraine is short of personnel (given large casualties and unwillingness to fight for the Zelensky regime), so timely rotation is an issue. Losing towns and villages does not inspire optimism in Ukrainian soldiers either.

What are the difficulties of the Russian Armed Forces' offensive on Chasov Yar?
🔺 The entry of the RF Armed Forces units into the village of Ivanovskoye (Krasnoye), although in the long term gives an opportunity to launch an offensive on Chasov Yar, but it will be difficult to do it in the near future. And there are several objective reasons for this.
What are they?
◉ Chasov Yar is another fortress city of the enemy with all the accompanying objects that complicate the assault. Nearby and inside the city there are:
- an industrial zone (Chasovyar Refractory Works, whose workshops are scattered around the city);
- a railroad station with a large number of buildings (locomotive depot, etc.);
- areas with multi-storey buildings;
- areas with difficult wetlands;
- an extensive network of reference points connected by communication lines (both within the city limits and on the approaches);
- natural water barriers, including the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, which almost completely closes Chasov Yar from the east.
Assaulting such a fortified area would require not only a large amount of forces and resources, but also the creation of at least two bridgeheads for simultaneous offensive actions - in the area of Bogdanivka in the northeast and in the area of Ivanivske in the southeast.
◉ In both cases, the advancing units will need to reach the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal line, occupying heights and clearing numerous enemy strongholds.
◉ If we speak directly about Ivanovskoye, in addition to the settlement itself, where the enemy has also well prepared for defense, it will be necessary to take the heights around it, the territory of the so-called Popovskoye forest and the AFU strongholds near Kleshcheyevka, which will also require a lot of time and effort.

⚔️🇺🇸🐮💩 Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment by US Influencers of "Institute for the Study of War" (ISW):
🤥🇺🇸🇩🇪 🇺🇦 : The ISW Trolls are rambling on empty again.🔸That the A-50 was shot down is a fact. That 2 were shot down in 2024 is also.🔸Apart from statements of well-known other trolls, the US Influencers can't come up with anything again.🔸The uneducated Brats are again using negative wording. With the best will, I don't know who the ultranationalists are supposed to be after Strelkov's arrest.🔸The ISW Information in the long text is not enough to make a judgement. Actually, the assessment would be the task of the ISW, with which the US Propagandists again confirm their own failure. Since the incident took place 256 km from the front, an air attack would be a mandatory prerequisite for the "friendly fire" variant. For the "ukro launch" variant, fragments of a corresponding missile would have to be found.🔸The latter could be blamed on the failure of a single defence unit. In the case of "friendly fire", either the Russian air defence would be overwhelmed, or the S400 is not up to the practical requirements under combat conditions, because it has no friend or foe recognition and the operators repeatedly shot down own aircraft under stress.🔸In the military part, the US Deceivers obscure important advances of the Russian.🔸ISW probably continues to drink the blood of deported Russian children, according to a well informed source not wishing to be named.🔸
⚠️ Warning! ISW is a troll entity linked to the US Regime. The henchmen spread propaganda and disinformation instead of providing a picture of the situation on the front, which is evident from the mostly fruitless frontline information.
💬 The Text is quoted verbatim, including the often horrifying misspelling of localities. The respective source is linked in the footer.
🔻 February 23 Key Takeaways 👻
▪️ Ukrainian officials reported that Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft on the night of February 23 – the second such aircraft shot down in 2024.
▪️ Russian ultranationalists are increasingly attributing the shootdown of Russian aircraft to Russian rather than Ukrainian air defenses.
▪️ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces are planning future counteroffensive operations, although delays in Western security assistance will likely continue to generate uncertainty and constraints on these operations.
▪️ Ukraine-based open-source organization Frontelligence Insight reported on February 22 that Russian forces are storing missiles and ammunition in previously abandoned facilities near the Russo-Ukrainian border and in occupied Ukraine to shorten and bolster Russian logistics lines.
▪️ Ukrainian officials stated that the probability of a Russian ground attack on Ukraine from Transnistria, a pro-Russian breakaway region of Moldova, is low following reports that Transnistrian authorities may call for or organize a referendum on annexation to Russia on February 28.
▪️ Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia “essentially” froze its participation in the Russia-dominated Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) against the backdrop of deteriorating Russian-Armenian relations.
▪️ The US, United Kingdom (UK), Canada, and the European Union (EU) announced new sanctions packages aimed at constraining Russia’s war effort in Ukraine.
▪️ Ukrainian forces made confirmed advances near Kreminna, and Russian forces made confirmed advances near Kreminna, Bakhmut, and Donetsk City.
▪️ Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Deputy Chief Major General Vadym Skibitskyi stated on February 23 that international sanctions are degrading the quality of Russian missiles amid continued Russian efforts to increase missile production.
▪️ Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) provided additional details on February 22 about the forced deportation of Ukrainian children from Ukraine to Belarus.

OF SAINTS AND SINNERS AND ISLAMOPHOBIA

Islam is a religion. Its followers are Muslims. Its Holy Writings are are written in Classical Arabic, but it also accepts the authority of the Old and New Testaments written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, where they are not conflict. Many of its followers are Arabic speaking, but not all Arabs are Muslim. At the time of Mohammed, certain important Arab tribes practiced Judaism. Most eventually converted to Islam, but until the establishment of the Israeli political entity, a sizeable group in Yemen still practiced Judaism. Likewise, many Arabic speaking people were Christian. Most Christian Arabs converted, but, in certain Arabic speaking countries such as Egypt and Palestine, a large minority remain Christian.
But, Islam is not a religion of only Arabic-speaking people. Many Muslims speak English as a first language and many others Russian. Of the world's six largest Islamic countries, only Egypt uses Arabic as its national language. The other five, in order of population, are Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, and Turkey. Muslims do not speak one common language, they do not have a common ethnicity, they do not share a common unique culture, but they reside as citizens in every major and most minor countries in the world.
To reiterate, Islam is a world-wide religion, as is Christianity and, on a much smaller scale, Judaism. Yet, Islamophobia is real, especially in Europe. It manifests itself in insulting Islam in print and on the street. In countries like France Islamophobic dress codes are legislated for those following Islamic nation fashions but not for the fashion choices of some of the less common sects of Judaism or Christianity. In certain parts of Europe, it also manifests itself in taking children away by force from their families to be raised in non-Islamic environments.
But why Islam? Islamophobia seems to have it origins in the Crusades. In 1095, Pope Urban II, initiated the Crusades for a combination of purposes. One was as a means for defeating a so called anti-Pope who was ruling in Rome with the support of various Christian states. Another purpose was to force the Orthodox churches of eastern Europe and the Middle East to accept papal authority. A third was economic. It was portrayed as useful employment for upper class young men in primarily France and surrounding countries, whose talents were limited to cursing, playing with dogs, hunting deer, and killing each other when they had nothing better to do. Moreover, whoring, murder, and property theft would all be forgiven. Crusaders could sin abundantly and still be guaranteed a place in heaven. What could be better?
Thus, the Crusades began and never truly ended. Every generation of European history since 1095 has seen European conflict with the Muslim world with the epicenter of interest always being Jerusalem, even when the actual fighting took place in other parts of the Islamic world. Generation after generation, the main actors changed, but the essentials remained the same.
So, in 1095, the hatred of Islam, Islamophobia, took shape with the blessings of the Pope. Feeding on the blood of ages, it has remained strong ever since. As for its birth-mother, Pope Urban II, like many other supremely successful promoters of human slaughter, he was made a saint. Saint Urban, the patron saint of Islamophobia. And, whether in heaven or hell, wherever he might be, may he find satisfaction in the lives he's wrecked.

🇩🇪🤡 Putin doesn’t want peace, he wants conquest - the expert in 360• turns Annalena Baerbock, wrote a article explaining that supplying arms to Ukraine is the best path to peace.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock denied statements that the West is preventing Ukraine from negotiating with Russia.
Baerbock also recalled the negotiations in Istanbul in the spring of 2022, at which Ukraine was ready to make concessions on the basis that Russia would withdraw its troops.

“Whoever says that arms supplies prolong the war is playing into the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Because it’s a lie when they say that the West is keeping Ukraine from negotiations,” she said.
“The fact is, for 731 days now, we, together with international partners, have been working tirelessly to ensure that peace finally comes to Ukraine.”
Baerbock also recalled the negotiations in Istanbul in the spring of 2022, at which Ukraine was ready to make concessions on the basis that Russia would withdraw its troops.
“There is no person in Ukraine who would not want this war to end,” the minister added -
“And we are doing everything to make this hope come true.”
