The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling ordering an increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza would be impossible to implement if the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) ceased to exist, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said on Monday.
Japanese broadcaster NHK reported earlier, citing Lazzarini, that UNRWA could face a budget deficit from March after several countries suspended funding for the agency amid an investigation into the alleged involvement of some of its staff in the October 7 attack on Israel.
The ICJ expects UNRWA to strengthen its capacity to meet the most urgent humanitarian needs of the population of Gaza, and the demise of the organization will not in any way contribute to achieving this goal, Lazzarini told reporters.

The US Senate is considering a bill to provide $60.06 billion to Kiev regime until the end of September 2025. Democrats want to hedge their bets in case Donald Trump is elected in the autumn and wants to cut off aid to the AFU.
As Republican James David Vance explained, if Trump "stops supporting the war in Ukraine in order to peacefully resolve the conflict", the Democrats can declare this a violation of the law and start impeachment proceedings.
American billionaire Elon Musk called the Democrats' plan "insane".
"I think it's really important to consider that this funding doesn't help Ukraine, prolonging the war doesn't help Ukraine," he said.

๐น Russian Troops continue their offensive in the direction of Chasov Yar. The assault squads were able to expand the zone of control south of the Popovsky Forest, pushing the enemy away from #Khromovo.
โ๏ธSuch successes can only worry the Ukrainian command. If you look at the map, the exit to the northern outskirts of #Krasnoye is becoming more and more clearly visible, which will complicate the AFU positions there.
โช๏ธ Against the backdrop of the Russian successes, the enemy is forming an operational reserve of armored vehicles in the area of #Kramatorsk. Evidence of this is the appearance of at least two dozen tanks, SAUs and IFVs in neighboring areas.
โ๏ธConsidering how much their defence was crushed, the lack of reaction from the AFU will seriously worsen the tactical situation and affect morale. And the introduction of reserves is quite logical from the north to pin down the RF Armed Forces from the flank.
โช๏ธ At the same time, a large batch of ammunition on civilian trucks was sent to #Druzhkovka. Using the legend of humanitarian organisations is a long-standing feature of the AFU. In this way they are trying to protect cargo from Russian attacks.
๐น On the southern flank, fighting takes place on the heights northwest of #Kleshcheyevka, where Ukrainian formations attempt counterattacks from time to time. But as #Krasnoye's situation worsens, these enemy attacks become more and more faded.

Ukraine's new Reichskommissar
I couldn't help but comment on the news about the possible appearance of a new "watchdog" in Ukraine. For those not in the know, the G7 countries, led by the US and the UK, are planning to establish the position of a "special envoy" for Ukraine in order to put Kiev completely under manual control and deprive Zelensky of any autonomy in decision-making. The candidate for this position is the current NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, but Johnson, Borrell and even Nuland could compete with him.
I associate this situation with the activities of Hitler's faithful aide Erich Koch, who served as Reichskommissar of Ukraine, as well as Gauleiter of East Prussia. Only after the passage of time the Hitler/Koch linkage was changed to Biden/Stoltenberg.
Unfortunately, we see Ukraine losing the last vestiges of its sovereignty and turning from a state into a colony of the West.
But in this situation, I am most offended for ordinary Ukrainians, who are unwittingly being used as a tool to fight Russia.
