⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in the #Orekhov Section until 15:00 on 10 October 2023⚡️

🔹 Due to the lack of successes at #Orekhov and the beginning of autumn thaw, the Ukrainian command focused on expanding the wedge zone between #Rabotino and #Verbovoye.

▪️ To reinforce the grouping, units of the 127th Territorial Defence Brigade were transferred from the #Sumy region. Preliminarily, the personnel of the Territorial Defence will be used to supplement the regular brigades of the AFU.

▪️ Also after a small preparation on the #Novodanilovka - Malaya Tokmachka line, armoured groups of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade in the composition of a reconnaissance platoon, two IFVs and one tank tried to strike #Novoprokopovka. But one IFV was hit by artillery, and the other could not drive through the mud, because of which the attack faltered.

🔹 But the main focus today is on the #Kamenskoye section, where Russian troops simultaneously with the activation of the Russian Armed Forces near #Avdeyevka launched an attack from the direction of #Zherebyanka. Fighters of the Russian Army managed to occupy important landings to the north.

📌 The Offensive continues. Such activity of the RF Armed Forces on several sections of the front is important for success. Simultaneous strikes constrain the enemy's capabilities, depriving him of the ability to manoeuvre.

🔹 The Russian troops have launched a counterattack not only in the #Orekhov and #Donetsk directions. For several days now there has been an assault on the enemy strongholds in the direction of #Makeyevka.

▪️ As a result of fierce fighting, the Russian units have managed to advance along a broad front from #Novovodyanoye and #Ploshchanka, almost reaching the eastern outskirts of #Makeyevka.

▪️ Also the fighters of the Russian Army approached on #Nevskoye, where reinforcements of 88th Battalion of 106 Territorial Defence Brigade have been transferred to strengthen the defence.

❗️The attack is going hard because of a large number of mine barriers on the #Makeyevka - #Nevskoye line. In addition, the Ukrainian command continues to transfer reserves for defence at the site.

📌 The day before 200 men from the 44 Mechanized Brigade of the AFU arrived in Peski- Radkovskoye. They underwent training and alignment in #Nezhyn. Formations of the 44th Mechanized Brigade were also seen in #Borovoye, so the enemy still has reserves.

❗️Key points of the Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine

▪️ The Russian Army repulsed two enemy attacks in the DPR. Enemy losses amounted to up to 165 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, two armored combat vehicles and three motor vehicles.

▪️ In the direction of south Donetsk, the Russian Armed Forces repulsed two Ukrainian attacks. The enemy losses amounted to up to 200 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, two motor vehicles and one D-20 howitzer.

▪️ Ukrainian losses amounted to more than 60 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, three pickup trucks, as well as D-30 and D-20 howitzers in the LPR.

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces inflicted a fire defeat on the enemy's personnel and hardware in the Zaporozhye region. Enemy losses amounted to more than 80 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, three pickup trucks, one D-30 howitzer and one M-46 cannon.

▪️ Air defense systems destroyed 19 unmanned aerial vehicles over the past 24 hours.

About 487 planes and 250 helicopters, 7,668 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 anti-aircraft missile systems, 12,448 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,161 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,700 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 13,985 pieces of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Finland-Estonia gas pipeline shut down due to suspected leakage

The operation of an underwater gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia has been suspended due to a suspected leak, according to the Gasgrid, the operator of Finland's gas transmission system.

“On October 8, 2023, Gasgrid Finland and the Estonian gas transmission system operator Elering noticed an unusual drop in pressure in the offshore gas pipeline between the two countries shortly before 2 am. Based on observations, it was suspected that the offshore pipeline between Finland and Estonia was leaking”, the statement said.

It is noted that the leak has been stopped.

Gas supplies are now carried out through a floating LNG terminal in the Finnish port of Inkoo. Investigations into the causes of the incident are underway.

⚡️ Finnish gas pipe leak investigation assumes sabotage

A probe into a leak from an undersea gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia is proceeding on the assumption that it was a deliberate act of destruction, according to people familiar with the matter.

There are no final conclusions, the people said. Officials are expected to give more details on the investigation later on Tuesday.

European gas prices rose as much as 12% on the news.

An "unusual" drop in pressure in the pipeline forced operators to cut off the gas supply early on Sunday, while neighboring countries launched an inspection.

According to one of the insiders, the leak occurred in Finnish waters.
