Ukraine reportedly agrees to peace talks with Russia without the mandatory requirement of withdrawal troops from the territory that Kiev considers its own.
The Wall Street Journal quoted insiders as saying about the results of consultations, which were held on Saturday in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Ukraine reportedly agreed to resume negotiations with Russia during these talks. The WSJ also reported that Ukraine expressed its willingness to engage in peace talks with Russian delegates, without requiring Russia to withdraw its military presence from the territories that Kiev considers its historical lands.
Yet later Zelensky's office has denied willingness for peace talks without a demand for troop withdrawal. According to the source, Ukraine has not conceded a single point of the president's "peace formula".
Following the Jeddah talks, the participating countries did not submit a final declaration, citing the fact that the event was purely consultative in nature.

Kenya started distributing Russian-supplied fertilizers
The Kenyan government has initiated the conversion of 34,000 tonnes of Russian fertilizer condensate into a final product weighing 100,000 tonnes, according to local media reports.
The finished product will be distributed to farmers as subsidized inputs. The distribution of this subsidized fertilizer has commenced this Tuesday, in preparation for the upcoming short rains season.
At the end of May, Uralchem-Uralkali Group (a Russian fertilizer producer) announced the arrival of a shipment of 34,000 tonnes of fertilizers for Kenya at the port of Mombasa.
This arrival was the second humanitarian shipment to developing countries, with the fertilizer coming from European ports and warehouses.

🔹1. The military leadership of #Niger has called on the citizens of the country to be ready to repel external aggression. The armed forces and other power structures have been put on alert. It should be taken into account that the army of #Niger, despite the fact that it was prepared by #France and the #US, is relatively weak, especially against the background of #Nigeria.
🔹2. According to the statement, one unnamed country is going to commit military aggression against #Niger in the near future. This is probably an #ECOWAS country with #France behind it. For example, #Senegal. It is worth noting that the full deployment of #ECOWAS troops to invade #Niger is yet to be finalised. The #US says it will take time.
🔹3. The military will not succumb to threats and blackmail are ready to fight the aggressor, promising him carnage and chaos. The implication is that they will arm civilians and wage guerrilla warfare.
🔹4. A formal demand was issued yesterday for #France to pull out of #Niger within 30 days. France had previously refused to leave, acting as a typical coloniser.

🔹7. #Algeria has explicitly stated that intervention in #Niger would be a direct threat to its interests. #Chad has formally renounced intervention. Whether #Algeria will support Niger only by supplying arms or directly, the Algerian authorities did not specify, preserving the freedom of manoeuvre. #Algeria has the forces to support #Niger directly.
🔹8. #Mali and Burkina Faso are ready to support #Niger militarily. #Guinea will limit itself to diplomatic support. On the border between #Niger and #Mali, clashes between the Malian military and Western controlled militants have intensified.
🔹9. The #US and #NATO grouping on the territory of #Niger reaches 2.8-3.1 thousand people. The US pay lip service to avoid participation in the intervention, unlike the French, who directly continue to threaten the authorities in #Niamey with an attack.

🔹 In recent days, there have been several small sorties by infantry groups, probably as part of probing the ground, but the attacks have been repulsed.
▪️ Also, the deploying of artillery guns of the AFU's 44th and 47th Separate Artillery Brigades, as well as from the 10th Army Corps formations, continues to the frontline. 💬 According to Voin DV, an enemy infantry group attempted to attack the positions of the RF Armed Forces near #Urozhaynoye, but as a result of small arms fire the Russian army fighters repulsed the attack.
🔹 Apart from this sortie, the situation in the #Vremyevka sector is practically unchanged. After the bloody campaign against #Staromayorskoye, the AFU began to restore combat capability due to huge losses in manpower.
💥 Our artillerymen and aviation are conducting massive shelling of Ukrainian formations. Due to heavy fire, the forces of the AFU Rifle Battalion of the 1st Separate Tank Brigade withdrew from the landings west of #Staromayorskoye.
▪️ Marine units of the 35th and 37th Brigades of the Marine Corps are manned by mobilized.

💥 Information about the consequences of the RF Armed Forces' strike on the airfield in Starokonstantinov in Khmelnitsky region, which took place two days ago, continues to appear on the web.
▪️ According to satellite imagery from 6 August, at least two hits on the hangar and aircraft parking area are visible on the site. Also visible there are two destructions in the area of the fuel storage facility and accumulations of non-flying aircraft acting as "donors" of spare parts.
▪️ At the same time, a thermal anomaly map from #NASA registered a large fire in a completely different place in the western part of the airfield. However, this can be caused by both an error and the inability to see the traces of this fire due to the low quality of satellite images.
▪️ At the same time, the #NASA service registered two thermal anomalies south of the airfield, which is confirmed by open source data. According to Ukrainian resources, an elevator was indeed hit in this area.
❗️Apparently, the purpose of the Russian raid was again the Su-24M aircraft with Storm Shadow cruise missiles based in #Starokonstantinov, as well as the facilities that ensure their operation. The damage from the impact is difficult to determine, but it is clearly limited.
📌 It is extremely reckless to count on the withdrawal of the entire airfield from the system. Only kilotons of bombs thrown at it or even a nuclear charge can destroy it, which is improbably in the current realities.
