🔹By nightfall, it became finally clear that it was impossible to dislodge the foe forces from the territory they had occupied. Air strikes by the RFAF, which had been highly effective during the day, were now hampered by the high density of the foe's air defences.
🔹The town of #Sudzha has been virtually evacuated. Public institutions and the population was evacuated with the help of regional authorities, transport and ambulance crews were allocated. The governor is in touch with the troops and characterises the situation as tense but controlled. Over the day, 16 AFU armoured vehicles (more by morning) and 2 Buk SAMs were destroyed.
🔹All day and all night both sides were bringing in reserves. A number of sources report possible attempts by the foe to destabilise the situation in other parts of the front, including in order to mislead our headquarters.
🔹As of 22:00, according to open data, the AFU were in the settlements of #Daryino, #Sverdlikovo, #Gogolevka and #Goncharovka. The situation at the #Oleshnya settlement was difficult, our strongholds were taken, the selfless actions of our border guards have been reported. The foe was remotely mining the #Sudzha - #Belitsa Motorway.
🔹By nightfall there were 150 to 200 Ukrainian militants and up to 15 units of foe equipment in these areas. Our UAV units destroyed several units of foe equipment overnight.
🔹Our air defence worked in the region during the night. We reported about downed missiles and aircraft-type UAVs. During the day there was official information about wounded and injured.
📌 The upcoming day will be heavy. The foe has no less than a motorised infantry battalion on our and adjacent territory, up to 2000 militants as a second echelon, uses many drones, while skilfully employing air defence and electronic warfare equipment.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Front #Report for the Morning of 7 August 2024⚡️
🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, without significant changes in the line of contact. Positional fighting continues, mainly in the area of #Rabotino and northwest of #Verbovoye. Russian troops are trying to improve their positions at every opportunity, periodically conducting attacks on AFU positions. Long range weapons are actively working. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, the RFAF continue to liberate #Krasnogorovka. There is fighting on the outskirts of the town. In the area of #Karlovka and the Karlovskoye Reservoir, it is without significant changes, fighting continues.
🟡 In #NyuYork, there is another tactical success of the Russian troops, and although a significant part of the settlement is under the control of the RFAF, it is premature to talk about its complete liberation. Nevertheless, the situation of the Ukrainian garrison on this section of the front is getting worse, and withdrawal is becoming the only option to avoid being encircled. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In #ChasovYar Direction, Russian troops continue to fight in the eastern part of the town. The AFU positions are being actively hit by long range weapons. In parallel, the RFAF continue to improve their positions on the flanks. (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, without significant changes.
🟡 In #Volchansk. oncoming battles continue.
🟡 In the #Glubokoye area, the AFU made another attempt to counterattack. Without success. (Fig. 4)
🔴 In the #Kursk Region, yesterday, the AFU tried to advance, attacking at several sections of the border. It is reported that Ukrainian forces are advancing towards the district centre of #Sudzha and to the north, but there is still no authentic data on the line of contact. The enemy is also actively using long range weapons, including UAVs of various types. Last night, at least four Ukrainian missiles were shot down over the territory of the region.
