1. Critical Bug Fixes (Code Errors)
Fixed GetWeightedPrice function (Weighted Average Price Calculation):
How it was: The line calculating total volume totalLots += OrderLots(); was placed outside the if condition block. The EA was summing up lot sizes of every single trade open on the account (including other currency pairs, foreign magic numbers, and mixed Buy/Sell orders). This completely corrupted the average price calculation.
How it is now: The volume counter is moved strictly inside the if statements. The average price for Buy and Sell grids is now calculated accurately and independently.
Eliminated Compiler Warnings (#property strict):
In the original code, order modification (OrderModify) and order closing (OrderClose) functions were called without verifying the broker server response. Proper return value validation has been implemented to prevent order freeze or loop execution during execution delays.
2. Trading Logic & Money Management Changes
Redesigned Lot Size Calculation (CalcLot):
How it was: The EA used a steep risk-decay model (each new layer opened with a smaller volume than the previous one). During long, one-way trends, the grid would get stuck in a drawdown because micro-lots were unable to pull the break-even level closer to the current market price.
How it is now: A classic, adjustable geometric progression lot_multiplier has been introduced. Set to 1.5 by default, it allows the grid to recover efficiently on market pullbacks.
3. Added New Protection Features (Not present in the original code)
Automatic Stop Loss and Take Profit via External Settings:
New parameters TakeProfit_Pips and StopLoss_Pips have been added.
Upon opening any new layer, the EA immediately recalculates the overall weighted average price and automatically modifies the hard SL and TP levels on the broker's server for all open grid positions. The Stop Loss is tied to the price of the very first (anchor) order, while the Take Profit shifts dynamically with the changing average price of the basket.
Equity Protection (Max_Drawdown_Percent):
A master emergency switch has been implemented. If the floating loss of the current grid exceeds the user-defined percentage of the total account balance (e.g., 15%), the EA automatically executes the CloseAll() function, clearing the market and protecting the remaining balance from a margin call.
