18 Supertrees designed by Grant Associates are iconic vertical gardens, with emphasis placed on creating a “wow” factor through the vertical display of tropical flowering climbers, epiphytes and ferns. #greenery@simoderna
At night, these canopies come alive with lighting and projected media. An aerial walkway suspended from the Supertrees offers visitors a unique perspective on the gardens. #nightlight@simoderna

Acting as both a unifying architectural element and a point of orientation within the building, the canopy reflects indirect sunlight downward from its mirrorlike surface.
At the base of the atrium a tempered garden has been established. The garden allows passengers to relax in a shaded, green space while waiting for their train. #greenery@simoderna
With respect for the station’s historic setting, the inner atrium walls are adorned with a windowcut pattern inspired by traditional Najdi motifs, echoing the architectural character of the surrounding neighborhoods. #context@simoderna

The series of trusses interlock and cross one another reminding of the surrounding canopy of trees. Glass is seamlessly set between the crafted structural skeleton still giving an ample opportunity to enjoy and experience the landscape beyond. Every detail is discerned, including the mechanical system that are hidden in the base of the walls.
People come from all over the world to use this chapel. It helps the town survive. But also, it creates the setting for hundreds of wonderful, memorable events every year. Architecture is not only about the building, but what it does and how it enriches people’s lives – the photographer Larry Speck. #quote@simoderna
