*️⃣Chicland Danang Beach Hotel

Architect #VTN
City #DaNang
Country #Vietnam #AP

🔤Chicland Hotel is designed to meet business requirement of the client but doesn’t confine architecture itself to the normal commercial style. All vertical technical parts are moved to the North area to assure the clear sight of view (in the near future, there’s an upcoming a high rise building next to the hotel on the north).

Other vertical facades are covered by a sudden inspirational system of alternate tree pots which is integrated into balconies or sliding part of hotel rooms. That #greenery system has a simple design and is easy to operate and maintain.

Besides of high aesthetic, the greenery system also creates microclimate for the building and makes interior space cooler. #sustainability

*️⃣Tianjin Library

Architect #Yamamoto #RikenYamamoto
City #Tianjin
Country #China #AP

🔤The entire library is a space enclosed by bookshelves. The intersecting walls create both a large, open space and smaller, articulated spaces. Effort was made to create reading spaces that are as diverse as possible, precisely because the library is so large in size. Visitors can experience a wide variety of places as they wander through the library.

Each of the five levels features a mezzanine, so that the building appears as ten crisscrossing levels, and from any floor, visitors may view several other levels around them due to the vast openness of the design.

*️⃣Orquideorama

Architect #PlanB, #CamiloRestrepo  and #PaulRestrepo
City #Medellin
Country #Colombia #SA

🔤The Construction of a Orchideorama should come up of the relation between architecture and the living organisms. The microscale of the organic, such as its capacity to be organized in precise laws of geometry patterns.

Direct example: Honeycomb structure, allows us to build a single module. We call it Flower - tree, which mean a flower form figure with the size and properties of a tree, that when it becomes systematically repeated, it allows us to define growing properties, its evolution and its adaptability. Its geometry.

The Orchideorama is composed of 10 Flower - tree structures, that can be built individually, and allow the system grow or response to any uncertainties, such as budget, construction inconvenients or political decisions.

*️⃣Maison Louis Vuitton Sanlitun

Architect #Aoki #JunAoki
City #Beijing
Country #China #AP

🔤Located within the Sanlitun shopping district in the heart of China's capital city, the facade of the four-storey building has a fluid form and is clad in dichroic mirrors.

It was designed in reference to a dress designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of Louis Vuitton's women's collections, and presented as the final look of the Women's Spring–Summer 2016 show.

The resulting facade is composed of two layers. An inner envelope ensures insulation, while the external layer is a mosaic of 315 hand-curved glass pieces and was designed to act as an "architectural lace".

Through the adoption of dichroic mirrors, the overall surface of the building shifts colours based on the movement of daylight and seasonal changes, leading the brand to describe the store as "a larger than life kaleidoscope".

Apparently this is yet a third Louis Vuitton mentioned in @simoderna archive. The Tokyo Maison is reminiscent of the new one in Beijing and is also done by Jun Aoki.
