This year, Iβm making some very intentional changes to how I approach trading.
Last year especially toward the final months, trading turned out better for me than at any other point in my career. I was able to build solid capital and also recover funds I had previously lost due to other pressing responsibilities.
Iβve reached a stage where I can comfortably wait for high quality opportunities without feeling the urge to force trades. Iβm sure many of you have noticed this shift already. Like for instance, after taking our previous loss, I didnβt chase, I just stayed back because I see no better opportunities to leverage on.
At some point in my career, earlier on, I would have revenged or probably scanned day in and out to find another setup. Not anymore, now I just wait for another opportunity, no matter how long it takes.
Iβm no longer bothered about being in the market all the time, and while this may be disappointing for those who look forward to my trade ideas, itβs important to understand that this journey is deeply personal.
I now trade with much more clarity.
My focus is on studying harder, trading less, and reducing my targets. I plan to start targeting 1:2R, as my data particularly from the end of last year suggests my system can perform well at that level. If, over time, this proves unsustainable, Iβll revert to 3R, which has worked exceptionally well for my FVG and Liquidity strategy.
Iβll continue trading this strategy because, honestly, itβs the one I believe in more than any other Iβve used.
FVG and Liquidity. 2R. Fewer trades. More patience. More study. Greater awareness. And most importantly, scaling up.
Scaling has been my biggest challenge for some time, and Iβve been putting in the work to understand it better. This year, thatβs my primary focus.
