I'm taking a break from all my socials for a month.
It’s been almost 8 months since I started this channel, and honestly, it’s been the most productive time of my life. I’ve learned a lot, met some incredible people, and really saw the power of showing up consistently.
After this break, I’m hoping to finally call myself a frontend developer. I’ll be building both my portfolio and some big projects in public sharing everything along the way.
See you in a month, and thanks for being part of the ride so far 🙌

I know I said I wouldn't post for a month... but yeah, that didn’t last 😅
I’ve got a bunch of things I’m excited to share, and honestly, I think I got enough rest.
So yeah I'm back

Been diving deep into JavaScript lately for the Blue Nile Dev Bootcamp, and it’s been leveling me up like crazy. At the same time, I’ve gotten super good with React, and honestly… I’ve fully switched to TypeScript for the frontend. Once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back... it just makes life easier.
I also explored a bit of Next.js started touching things like server-side rendering, API routes, and dynamic routing. Wanted to try BetterAuth, but I quickly realized I needed a better grasp of what’s happening on the server first.
So yeah… I’ve started learning Node.js and Express.js, and I’m planning to dive into databases soon. Also messed around a bit with Firebase, which was fun.
And backend isn’t harder than frontend (sorry backend devs 😅). Just different.

🌟 Ready to Level Up Your DSA Game? 🌟
A while back, I had this dream of forming a team to tackle Data Structures & Algorithms together.
Fast forward to now—it’s not just me anymore!
I’ve teamed up with two brilliant friends, Ruth and Sifen, and in collaboration with Blue Nile Dev, we’re launching something bigger: a full-on community to learn and grow through DSA 🌱✨
We’ve crafted a curated roadmap that’s perfect for beginners and intermediates, and we’re so excited to get started. Whether you're just setting out or sharpening your skills—we’ve got you.
👉 All you need to do is register, and we’ll group you based on your level. Let’s build, solve, and support each other all the way!

🚀 New DSA Community Launch 🚀
We’re excited to announce something special we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes at Blue Nile Developers!
What started as Aida’s vision to study Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) together has now grown into a full-on collaborative DSA learning community.
In partnership with two awesome devs: Aida and Ruth, Together, we’ve designed a beginner- and intermediate-friendly DSA roadmap and community experience that makes learning DSA feel a little less lonely and a lot more fun. You’ll be learning in groups, solving problems, supporting each other, and staying consistent — one challenge at a time.
📚 Roadmap & Challenge Structure We’ve curated the roadmap to start with the basics and gradually build up to advanced problem-solving — perfect for those just starting out or sharpening their skills.

It's actually so embarrassing when you're casually scrolling through TikTok and suddenly see a cringy comment… written by someone you know. 😭

comment a concept you struggled with while learning frontend web development... could be from HTML, CSS, JS, or React, anything frontend related.
i’m doing a little survey, so I’d really appreciate your comment 🙏

Js..from where to start, what resources to use along the way, and where to determine it is enough and can step to its frameworks
Start from the very basics... like what JavaScript is, why we use it, and what kind of stuff you can build with it. Then dive deep into the core stuff: data types, conditionals, loops, arrays, and objects. Once that makes sense, build some small console-based apps (no UI, just pure JS).
After that, move into the DOM. Learn how to connect JS with HTML/CSS how to add or remove items, make simple CRUD apps, and style things with JS. Then learn how to handle user input: form validation, how the form tag works, and how to submit data.
The next part (and probably the most confusing) is asynchronous JavaScript. Learn callbacks, promises, fetch, how APIs work, and functions like setTimeout and setInterval.
Once you're solid on that, you’ll have a strong foundation and start figuring things out on your own. From there, explore localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies, and go deeper with execution context, hoisting, the event loop, closures, prototypes, and how to organize your code using modules.
If you're interested, check out object-oriented programming too especially useful for backend work. And after that? Just build. Build lots of projects. Once you're comfortable, you can move on to backend (Node.js, Express) or frontend frameworks like React.
Congrats you’re basically a JavaScript developer at that point 😄

Addis AI Assistant
Big day for Amharic speakers and anyone excited about building with voice AI.
Just saw this and had to share Addis AI now supports real-time Amharic voice with emotional tone and crazy fast response.
Tried it out, it’s actually insane.

DSA Peer-to-Peer Learning Program Begins Tomorrow!
Thank you to everyone who registered, we’re officially kicking off the DSA Community Program tomorrow!
Here’s what to expect as we get into this journey together:
- Group-Based Learning: Participants will be grouped based on their experience level to foster more tailored and collaborative learning.
- Peer-to-Peer Collaboration: This is a community-led initiative. Each day, you'll work together on a curated challenge from our roadmap and one member from each group will take the lead to present their solution to the team. Think of it as learning with each other, not just from each other.
- Structured Roadmap: We’ve crafted a beginner-friendly roadmap that scales up to intermediate-level challenges, including:
- JavaScript (or your preferred language) basics
- Warm-up and implementation problems from HackerRank
- Daily DSA topics from Neetcode
And eventually, tackling the Neetcode 150! Check the full roadmap here
Let’s make DSA less intimidating and way more collaborative.
The goal? Learn, solve, explain, and grow. Together.
