I didn’t expect people to share it this fast... now I’m kinda forced to finish it. But honestly, this is the part I love about #buildinpublic. It pushes you past your limits and keeps you moving.

Blue Nile Developers is building Ethiopia’s first open and community-driven JavaScript Bootcamp.

Our mission is to empower the next generation of developers in Ethiopia and beyond through a free, structured, and practical JavaScript Bootcamp.

What We’re Building:

A 3-month program designed for beginners and self-taught devs, including:

• Weekly structured lessons
• 21+ hands-on projects
• Big milestone builds
• Coding challenges
• One final team project to build collaboration skills
• Small batch teaching (15–20 learners per group) for focused support

Why This Matters:

Most beginners struggle with direction, consistency, and real-world practice. We're solving that by combining mentorship, community, and clear roadmaps all without cost barriers.

This is just the beginning. Whether you're here to learn, build, or help welcome to Blue Nile Developers.

Let’s grow together.

Any tips on how to fix my attention span?I can code for 5–6 hours straight without a problem
but I can’t seem to focus on anything else for more than 30 minutes.

Is this just me or does coding rewire our brains?

New channel where I post my short stories. Thanks for anyone who joins.
Hey guys, It’s been a while since I shared a React update, so here’s where I’m at

I’ve gotten super comfortable with React now for the past couple of weeks I’ve been deep-diving into state management libraries like Zustand and Redux Toolkit.

Zustand is honestly really fun to work with clean and simple. But if you're planning to build something more scalable, Redux Toolkit kinda becomes necessary.

I even took a step back and explored raw Redux to really understand how things work behind the scenes actions, reducers, immutability, all of it. And now I'm practicing Redux Toolkit with async logic, side effects, connecting to backends, and just figuring out how everything fits together in bigger apps.

It’s been intense, but I’m really enjoying it.

I think there’s a point in your coding journey where everything starts to clicks.

New concepts make sense faster.
Docs aren’t scary anymore.
Debugging feels like solving a puzzle.
It’s like crossing a threshold and once you do, things just flow.

A friend asked me if the Evangadi courses are any good and I honestly have no idea 😅 Never tried them myself, so I couldn’t say.

Anyone here taken them? Are they actually worth it?
Would love to hear your thoughts so I can give him something real.

I'm taking a break from all my socials for a month.

It’s been almost 8 months since I started this channel, and honestly, it’s been the most productive time of my life. I’ve learned a lot, met some incredible people, and really saw the power of showing up consistently.

After this break, I’m hoping to finally call myself a frontend developer. I’ll be building both my portfolio and some big projects in public sharing everything along the way.

See you in a month, and thanks for being part of the ride so far 🙌

I know I said I wouldn't post for a month... but yeah, that didn’t last 😅
I’ve got a bunch of things I’m excited to share, and honestly, I think I got enough rest.

So yeah I'm back

🟡Quick little update on everything that’s been going on

Been diving deep into JavaScript lately for the Blue Nile Dev Bootcamp, and it’s been leveling me up like crazy. At the same time, I’ve gotten super good with React, and honestly… I’ve fully switched to TypeScript for the frontend. Once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back... it just makes life easier.

I also explored a bit of Next.js  started touching things like server-side rendering, API routes, and dynamic routing. Wanted to try BetterAuth, but I quickly realized I needed a better grasp of what’s happening on the server first.

So yeah… I’ve started learning Node.js and Express.js, and I’m planning to dive into databases soon. Also messed around a bit with Firebase, which was fun.

And backend isn’t harder than frontend (sorry backend devs 😅). Just different.
