CONDITIONALS🤩

✨Third conditional
- условные предложения про нереальный прошлый результат — о том, чего не было, и как могло бы быть иначе. Употребляются чтобы выражать сожаление, критику или предположение о том, как прошлое могло бы измениться.
If + past perfect (had + V3), … would have + V3 (можно заменить на could/might).


If I had studied harder, I would have passed the exam.
(Если бы я учился усерднее, я бы сдал экзамен.)
If she had left earlier, she might have caught the train.
(Если бы она ушла раньше, возможно, она бы успела на поезд.)

✨Mixed conditionals
- комбинация времен в условной и результатной частях — когда причина в одном времени, а следствие в другом.

💗Past cause → present result
If + past perfect, … would + V (present)
прошлое действие/ситуация, из‑за которой сейчас другой результат/состояние.

If I had studied medicine, I would be a doctor now.

💗Present cause → past result
If + past simple, … would have + V3
гипотетическая текущая ситуация объясняет, почему прошлое произошло иначе.

If I were taller, I would have joined the basketball team last year.
(Если бы я был выше сейчас, в прошлом году я бы присоединился к баскетбольной команде)
