🌱 Soil Health in Practice – EGU26 (SSS10.9)

A dedicated EGU26 session focusing on:
• soil health indicators (incl. subsoil)
• harmonised monitoring and FAIR data pipelines
• soil awareness and literacy
• links between soil health, ecosystem services, and socio-economic impacts

The session brings together scientists, practitioners, data managers, and policy actors, supported by SHARInG-MeD, SOILS4MED, and SUS-SOIL.

🇮🇹 #Soil #Health, #anthropic pressure, #human activities and #climate: hands-on learning in Italian middle schools.

SHARInG-MeD and the the Living Lab @Agro-SALUTE (funded by SUS SOIL and supported by #SHARInGMeD and the Dipartimento di Scienze Veterinarie di Pisa) engaged more than 70 students (aged 11–13) in practical activities:

🧪 touching different soil types
🚜 testing soil loss and erosion
🌱learning by doing soil health improving strategies

A simple message: healthy soil = resilience, societal development and healty societies.
