BEACON ALERT: MISSING SERVICE PERSON
Andrew Bolton, 38, from Norfolk is missing with serious concerns for his welfare.

North Yorkshire Police are searching in the Whitby area for Andrew who was last seen near his home on 12 February.

It is believed he has travelled to the Whitby area and may be staying in local hotels or guest houses.

We’re appealing to anyone who may have seen Andrew or knows where he is now to get in touch.

Andrew is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, with blue eyes and short blonde/greying hair. He may be wearing glasses, but also uses contact lenses . He was last seen wearing jeans and a lightweight blue padded jacket and is believed to be using a white Citroen Picasso car , reg number NX17VVG.

If you have seen Andrew or his car over the past few days, please call us on 101.

If you have an immediate sighting of him, or know where he is now, please call Police on 999.

"The search for missing Norfolk man Andrew, has been called off following the discovery of a body in the Whitby area earlier today (Monday 16 February 2026)

Mr Bolton’s family have been informed.

We thank everyone who has supported the missing person appeal.
