FOREX SHORT SELLING? How is that possible?

Usually, if we want to sell, we need to buy first and wait for the price to rise, and then make a profit by selling. However, there is a concept of short selling in the stock market where you can borrow a stock and sell the borrowed stocks. When the price of the stocks goes down, you buy back the shares, return what you borrowed, and keep the profit made from the drop. However, this does not happen in forex trading. You do not borrow anything; you simply sell one currency by buying another currency. When the currency that you bought increases in value compared to the one you just sold, you simply revert the transaction by buying back the currency that you sold at market price, and the leftover from the exchange is your profit to keep. It is just a transaction, and no borrowing process ever takes place. This concept is explained in this video.
