You know where people are going to talk about the downfall of Twitter?

Twitter.

The only thing more costly than standing up to these woke bullies is not standing up to them.

Twitter wrestles with a dilemma created by their commitment to keeping these two promises:

1. "We will not censor anything truthful."
2. "We will censor hateful speech."

Statements like "Men who identify as women are not actually women" are objectively and obviously true, but deemed hateful by everyone on the Left. So whenever these statements are made, Twitter must choose between honoring one or the other promise. And truth always loses.

Here I'm looking at the problem from only one angle. Obviously there are other serious problems with their promise to not censor anything truthful. Beyond the fact that tech companies are terrible at determining what's true, free people have a right to be wrong.

The definitions you call traditional are rooted in reality. This is why they must be clung to and affirmed. If you let go of reality-based definitions, you let go of objective truth altogether.

I think the woman became a make-believe, purple-haired man, and the actual man stuck around because he’d be labeled a transphobe otherwise. But I’m not sure. It’s all very confusing.

If there are—and always have been—tons of trans kids who will kill themselves if they aren't accepted, then we'd have seen high suicide rates throughout history. But we don't see that at all. Historically, kids were neither confused about their identities nor were they suicidal.

What we're running right now is an experiment on what happens when you confuse kids on a grand scale, then "affirm" their confusion with irreversible "treatments" that do permanent physical and psychological damage. The stakes are life and death, but for the opposite reason.

We'll be seeing a lot of this in the near future.

I don’t know why everyone’s so concerned. Voting machines are programmed to “break” if too many Republicans use them. It’s a safeguard against the American people stealing the election.
