The carbon free agenda means we need to find other protein sources now and get used to them before they cut the availability of meat or it becomes too expensive to buy.

Will we be allowed to keep chickens?...How much carbon do hens produce? So those people who don't much care for pulses now need to get to like them as well as tofu and soya protein. Anybody got any ideas/comments

Coping ideas during energy crisis this winter. Please follow sensible safety or legal guidelines when using gas cylinders in the home. These are very small cylinders and one person who used this heater told me it was cheap to use. I am not sure which lamp this is, I got it off Amazon. The heater can also be bought in Amazon. At least with these you control how much you use and won't get a big bill. Read your meters at intervals to make sure they not using up much energy.
Don't forget hot water bottles this winter in the UK. The uncovered one is from Boots at £8 and the two covered ones are in Superdrug. There is a mini one at £5 and normal size one for £8. I have got the boots one. It seems like something for granny but when the need is there then why not make use of one this winter?

Get as much knowledge as you can NOW from food growing and self sufficiency channels, YouTube, Tick Tock, books and blogs. Ask for a book on self sufficiency, veg gardening or food preservation for Christmas. We can not always rely on the internet being there because we don't know what might happen next.

So you need to write stuff down, have paper books at home and memorize information on these topics. That is what the word "prepping" means....being prepared and not relying on energy or food from cities and towns or even the internet being always available! Will you be able to afford to recharge your devices? We do not know in the UK how much they are going to charge us yet for gas/electric.
