Somebody asked me the last ingredient for Rose Soap in soap recipes and that is: Avocado 🥑🥑 oil.
Fancy buying mouldy cheese, bad eggs or out of date meat? Do you like the increase in food prices due to massive increase in diesel? Food prices are still rising, by the way. Impossible increases to pay in energy costs. This winter we will be eating less food due to prices, maybe feeling hungry, buying stale food, eating uncooked food to save on cooking costs and be sitting freezing cold at home. The solution: become as self sufficient as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if toiletries go up in price or we might have shortages of soap, toothpaste or shampoo due to transport costs. So we need to get practicing. On this webpage there are ideas for soap making like moulds and cutters you need and a YouTube video on how to do a simple soap.

You can then add things to this basic soap mix like colours, perfume oils, dried herbs or flowers and so vary it accordingly.

Remember to use safety glasses if you have them and gloves when handling lye. Do not be afraid of this, just handle it correctly and it will be fine. Nowadays, we need to think of making our own necessary toiletries or depend on the fluctuations in the market place and whether they will be in stock or not.

If you are in the UK you know energy prices are going to be pretty bad this winter so get yourselves one or two of these and some gas refills for cooking so you can limit how much gas you use and control how much you spend....Then don't use your cooker at all. This one is from Amazon but you can get them in lots of places.
If you are in the UK use this instead of your lights this winter. It gives off a great deal of light. It might save you on your electricity bill.
If you are in the UK this winter then buy a camping heater that runs from small gas cylinders. This would be cheaper than the overpriced electricity or gas bills we are expecting and you can control how much you use and you don't get a big bill at the end. However you do need to store these gas cylinders safely maybe in the garage and follow safety guidelines if using them indoors. These ones can be found in Amazon.

The carbon free agenda means we need to find other protein sources now and get used to them before they cut the availability of meat or it becomes too expensive to buy.

Will we be allowed to keep chickens?...How much carbon do hens produce? So those people who don't much care for pulses now need to get to like them as well as tofu and soya protein. Anybody got any ideas/comments
