I planted runners and carrots as seedlings then I put them with onions in tubs I got from Lidl which I lined with garden fabric and made holes in bottom.

These containers just cost me about ยฃ3 or so from Lidl, perfect for putting on patio, balcony or back yard. Line the sides with garden fabric or bin liners. I got garden fabric from B&M but could be Wilko's or Poundland too.
Then put some holes in with hand drill (very cheap to buy and good for doing holes...there is no noise or electricity needed) or anything else that makes holes. Fill with compost and plant your seedlings. Feed according to needs of plants.

I use egg boxes for seeds first before planting them outside or you can buy so cheap from B&M, Poundland shops those little square seedling planters to put on your windowsill.

Patio peas grown in a pot. Easy peasy to do. Then you can keep peas from pod, dry them and use them as seeds for following year. Apparently they need to be heirloom pea seeds originally (natural polenation) so this will ensure you can reuse the seeds and they will keep on producing a crop.

A hand drill from Amazon, you could maybe get cheaper elsewhere. So useful for gardening. It's great for making holes in bottom of bowls, tubs, pots and crates....I really recommend it...so much easier and quieter than getting the electric drill out.

I planted this lavender in a patio pot because it is very useful for attracting bees to your garden. We need bees. Also pleasant aroma.

I tried growing maize but in September it started to do badly...I think it needs to be in a greenhouse from Autumn. Anybody know?

Your pigs are dirty and dangerous, experts announced, and could be responsible for food and mouth disease destroying the entire meat industry. But huge corporate farms that the technocrats control are totally cool.

Why? โ€œSmaller producers are thought [?!] to be more likely [?!] to engage in practices such as swill feeding, that have a high chance of accidentally introducing the virus. They may be less aware of what theyโ€™re responsibilities are in terms of preventing an outbreak and also what they would need to do in an event of one.โ€ <โ€” This is the most flagrant, unfounded assumption!

Experts: you are too dumb to do it right, and therefore, we just need to make it illegal.

Backyard hensโ€™ eggs contain 40 times more lead on average than shop eggs, research finds

Note that it is explicitly your backyard birds that are suddenly at issue.

Newly published research found backyard hensโ€™ eggs contain, on average, more than 40 times the lead levels of commercially produced eggs. For your safety, we may have to make your birds illegal, (just like weโ€™ve been salivating over)!

โ€œThese findings will come as a shock to many people who have turned to backyard food production. It has been on the rise over the past decade, spurred on recently by soaring grocery prices. BUT, after years of living on these soils, contaminants have built up in soils. These legacy contaminants can enter our food chain via vegetables, honey bees and chickens.

[@IceAgeFarmer note: itโ€™s just too dangerous to let you feed your family. if you want eggs, save up your carbon credits like everyone else. More context in mega post above]
