How to set up a Bee Water Station in your garden!

-Can use a small bowl or convert bird bath that sits in the yard/garden.
-Add rocks or marbles or crystals of various sizes to create platforms for the bee’s to walk on.
-Fill up the bowl with fresh water so that some rocks are slightly submerged and some are partially above water line. These mini platforms are inportant.
-Check on your new BEE water station weekly to refill & make sure the bee’s have a reliable source of water.

***note Bee’s breathe from their bellies, so if they become submerged they can no longer breathe very shallow water is key.***

If no bee's are visiting the new bee water station, add a couple of lemongrass essential oil drops to the edges of the bowl (not in the water) Lemongrass scent attracts bee’s as it is very similar to their own pheromones.

How are you creating a water resource for your local bees? Share a pic below.

GROWING POTATOES IN A BAG OR POT

-Use large sturdy bag, or pot 8-10 gallons.

-Make a few small holes in the bottom of bag to prevent the bag becoming waterlogged or choose pot with drainage holes.

-Fill the bottom of the bag/pot with 4-5” of compost or soil.

-Plant 2-4 ‘sprouted’ potatoes with eyes (depending on size) evenly spaced in bag/pot.

-Add rest of compost/soil to fill almost to top leaving couple inches.

-Place in a light, bright location balcony/deck/yard and continually water well.

-Water when top 2” is dry and water till excess comes out of base. Do not over water or seed potatoes will rot.

-After aprox 90-110 grow days depending on variety & the potato plant starts to turn yellow/brown and wilt it is HARVEST time!

-Turn over bag/pot and dump onto ground or tarp and dig through for a wonderful potato harvest.

-Enjoy your yield and remember to save a few new potatoes to sprout for another planting round!

Grow bags....these particular ones are £15.99 for the 3 bags in Amazon. There are cheaper grow bags if you look around.
If no shampoo or shower gel available I have posted how to make soap and shampoo recipes. Buy some Castile soap flakes to keep in stock in case you need to make your own shampoo. Castile soap is non-toxic and bio-degradable as it is made from plant-based oils rather than animal fat.
If for any reason we can not buy toothpaste, or you don't want fluoride in your toothpaste, again we will have to make our own. Baking powder should not be used excessively.

We need to know these FIVE things in my opinion:

*How to make bread
*How to grow veggies/fruit/herbs
*How to make shampoo
*How to make soap
*How to make toothpaste

If you don't have a garden, please do try out grow bags or make your own bags and also see if elderly folk who have gardens or allotments in your area will allow you to grow stuff and take care of their garden/plot in exchange for produce....

Blueberries and walnuts are excellent for both mental health and physical health. Now during all the stress everybody is undergoing we need good emotional/mental responses and strong immunity.
Artemisia known as wormwood is number one remedy for bronchitis, asthma, covid, all kinds of respiratory tract infections. It grows in hot countries, not sure about the UK but you can get it in infusions...Amazon for example sell wormwood infusion for around £9 or so. It is rather bitter so you may need to sweeten it....
Get ready to "possibly" consume cockroaches, mealworms OR crickets.

An extract of the following link: "From 1 January 2018 came into force Regulation (EU) 2015/2238 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015, introducing the concept of “novel foods”, including insects and their parts. One of the most commonly used species of insects are: mealworms (Tenebrio molitor), house crickets (Acheta domesticus), cockroaches (Blattodea) and migratory locusts (Locusta migrans). In this context, the unfathomable issue is the role of edible insects in transmitting parasitic diseases in humans"....https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6613697/

I planted runners and carrots as seedlings then I put them with onions in tubs I got from Lidl which I lined with garden fabric and made holes in bottom.
