Rasulullah ﷺ said:

“The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah. And the best thing that I and the prophets before me have said is:

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ‏

La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.”

“There is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He has power over all things.”

however, do not just pray for worldly matters. pray for the affairs of the Hereafter as well.

Imam Ibn Kathir رَحِمَهُ الله said : “it is reprehensible for anyone who does not ask for anything but his worldly matters.” ― (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

so, do not forget to ask for Allah’s pleasure, admission to Paradise, and protection from the punishment of Hellfire.
