This was me back in the day… I’d DM people randomly, thinking I deserved their attention. But it doesn’t work like that. Sliding into DMs won’t give you real answers or opportunities. most of the time you’ll just get ghosted.

Instead, focus on yourself. Sharpen your skills, share your progress, and let people see what you’re building. Join communities and groups where real conversations happen. Do this, and opportunities will come to you, no random DMs needed.

Now, if you actually have something cool to show, that’s different. But here’s the catch: most people who do usually don’t share it, often because they’re shy. And honestly, that holds them back too.

This worked for me, and I’ll keep using it. Hopefully it helps you too.

Let’s separate patriotism from reality. I don’t think they even know what the product is 😁. Bruh, how would you even pitch Better Auth to an Ethiopian investor? Even if they did invest (which I doubt would happen in a million years), they’d probably ask for 50%+ of your business for just $6k. Is that really something you want??

Won 2nd place at Better Hack 2025 praise God.

The last 32 hours were wild! Learned a lot, met new faces (and old ones), and stressed over a completely broken product. at one point, we even decided to call it quits and told the organizers we weren’t gonna present ‘cause nothing was working… but things turned around last minute and somehow we pulled it off.
