I built a clipping tool for a hackathon two weeks ago ( had some issues back then but it's now fixed ). The idea was to have an AI agent that takes in podcasts and turns them into short-form content for TikTok and Instagram. It works, but I didn't have multimodal supportβso if the video footage is more important than the audio, you might miss some key parts since the clipping mainly relies on transcription.
I used LangChain and OpenAI Whisper for that. Iβll record a video about it today or tomorrow and share it with you guys.

The workflow is simple: you give the AI your podcast and tell it how many clips you want, the desired video length range, and the frame size (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram). You also get an option for automatic captions.
One cool feature I forgot to mentionβyou can also specify the topic you want the clips to focus on. If you donβt have a specific topic in mind, you can give it broader terms like βcontroversialβ or βtriggering,β and it will try to understand the context from the subtitles and pick relevant parts accordingly.
