Back to where we started... let’s start with the bright side: it was awesome! Met a lot of new students, awesome guests, and worked with an amazing team. Super glad it happened, fr

Now, there were definitely issues—like the mic, time management, and the venue setup. Behind the scenes, it was the worst: God i hate beaurocracy. guests almost got blocked from entering, the banner and other stuff barely made it in. We only got full access to the venue around 7:30 when we expected it to be at 6:30 🤦‍♂️.

But hey, shoutout to everyone who’s breaking that Habesha time habit 😁. I was surprised to see so many students almost 60% showing up at 7:30 for an 8:00 event. That gave me huge hope for our future here .

Anyway, let’s switch off the GDG AAU stuff for a bit... I was too busy with everything to keep up with #progress_100 these last two days, but I’ll be back at it starting tomorrow. Just a little vent for the night 😂. Do you actually delete data from the production database, or do you just add a column to mark data as deleted, check that column, and then show users that it’s deleted? (I mean, we all know this is what most companies do, but just in case you're not using it 😁 here’s a tip).

Just so you know, I made a Netflix clone with Microsoft Publisher 😂—only the frontend, tho, not the backend. I also created a game with PowerPoint😎. I was one of those 'ashkabach' kids in ICT class 😂🤦‍♂️. Honestly, I was just super curious and loved anything to do with computers, and that was the only class that matched my interests.

Build a Kamala vs. Trump betting website. Integrate Stripe (or another option) so people can deposit money and place bets, then share on X (yes, Twitter 😅). The app should be simple: a countdown to the result release, and if there's an API available, integrate it to show live results.
Also, add a shareable card/link so users can invite others to bet.

Tech stack: Next.js + V0. Since Stripe isn’t an option, try using PayPal. 😁
