#Nerd_Space

I haven't been active on Nerd Space for about 3 weeks or so, so let's take this afternoon to finish the deployment.... I was implementing Firebase storage, but someone recommended cloudinary and it's so easy to implement, so I'm going to be using cloudinary to store the post images, profile pictures, and also the cover photos.... I am planning to shift to Vercel to deploy the backend as some recommended I check it, mentioning its speed...so I might be shifting to Vercel...if not, I will continue with Render....It shouldn't take much time and I believe it will be done and exported by this afternoon.... I was working on some private projects and it took some of my time and focus...That's why I wasn't active in #Nerdspace

This was one of the best, inspirational, educational, and eye-opening sessions for most of us, I believe. I think most of you are going to learn a lot and gain a new and better perspective on conducting research, fostering innovation, nurturing a creative mindset, and embracing a whole new way of thinking to step out of the comfort zone, adapt to new technologies, and build upon them. Watching Devin for the first time, a part of me thought those dudes were trying to create an overhype by merely announcing the first AI software engineer. It felt like they were just trying to catch the eye of one of the Silicon Valley VCs or investors and seemed far from achieving it.

But then I saw this behind-the-scenes video about Cognition's founders - you have to see it. These dudes are not your typical AI enthusiast programmers; they are literally walking computers. I mean, if they've come this far without much hype and investment, imagine what could happen after the VCs' money, resources, and more. Something significant is on the horizon. NVIDIA announcement, Sam Altman's podcast with Lex Fridman, ... something like AGI might not be that far ... just go and watch it yourself and let me know what you think.
