As promised here I hv got you the video📹 I have showed the details of each department and campus because the information is not added prospectively. And I have successfully added the departments under their college, more than that it’s responsive is 🔥☄️

So yesterday a friend of mine suggested me to web scrap the info I wanted so I used it to parse the information left like the description of the campuses and the details of the departments.

I spent the night today at the ABRHOT library, working on coding the Nerd Space project. I was improving its efficiency and dealing with some state management stuff. At this point, I'm exhausted from seeking UI advice from anyone 😁, but I need it, so I can't complain. It's different for everybody. I think am now getting the glimpse of how UI/UX designers are crucial, even for side projects 😁.

I'm struggling to send multiple images to my Express server. I used a form and Expo Library's image picker for cover and profile images. It works for one image, but when I try with both, it's not working. Need help with Multer.

I'll share the newest Nerd Space update today at 7 pm (1 seat local time ). I've been working hard to improve things like following users, updating profiles, and finalizing comments and likes. Though I'm not sure if I'll complete it, I'm also trying to add a user search feature. I've updated the look and fixed other things like multiple authentication, making it faster by reducing unnecessary API requests. I've used clean and effective methods to manage the app's state.

Moreover, I'm looking for help with a brand design, including a logo and some visuals for the opening/splash screen. If you're good at design, motion graphics, or branding, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My little brother is a grade 9 student and a full-stack developer. He's on track to become an AWS Certified Solutions Architect soon through ALX. I've been the one teaching him everything from the ground up. Sometimes, I realize he knows more than I do in the tech field. His achievements make me believe I can be a good mentor. 😎

How can you get a job as a self-taught developer?

This is what I will do if I start from scratch:

1) First, I will define what kind of developer I want to be:

- Frontend
- Backend
- Game developer
- Mobile developer, etc.

2) I will start researching/learning only the necessary skills to get me there – only the necessary skills:

- First, I will research or ask senior developers based on my choice.
- List out all the necessary skills to get me there.
- Gain enough skills, at least to secure an internship in a company.

3) I will start building small and demonstrable projects each week and share them with others:

- I will start building a small project every week and push it on GitHub.
- Meanwhile, I will share what I learned on different social media platforms. This will help me connect with like-minded people and document my journey.

4) I will start enhancing my portfolio and create a CV:

- When I say portfolio, you might think that I am referring to a website (No).
- Having a website is a plus, but what really matters as a developer is your GitHub and LinkedIn. Those are the two platforms you need to focus on.
- Then, I will build my CV filled with my latest projects to demonstrate what I can do.

5) Start applying for an internship (not a job again):

- At this stage, I will start looking for companies that are seeking potential developers based on my choice.
- Contact them and try to get my foot in the industry. Meanwhile, I can repeat steps 3 and 4.

6) Learn as much as possible and contribute as much as possible during your internship:

- Yes, as a developer, you have to constantly learn and update your knowledge.
- Give it your all regardless of the outcome. You might land a job at the same company where you took your internship. If you don't get hired, move on to the next opportunity.

7) Okay, this time you need to look for a job; you have already leveled up from the internship stage:

- Like I said, you don't have to apply for internships anymore. You have already passed that stage; you are now a junior developer. Find a position based on your career as a junior developer.
- Start leveling up from there.

Important note:

* Have faith in yourself and show up every day to do the job.

How long will it take, you ask?

* I would say 1 - 1.5 years to land my first junior position job.
