Don't be that guy who knows exactly what to do with their life but chooses laziness instead—asking others for advice, even though you already know the answers won't be any different (or might even be worse). Have some respect for your time.

Not sure, but here’s ChatGPT’s response for the cost of living a safe life in SF :

- Rent: $2.5k– $3.5k
- Utilities: $150–$250
- Groceries: $400–$700
- Transportation: $100–$200
- Eating Out/Fun: $300–$600
- Miscellaneous: $150–$300

Total: $4k –$5.5k/month to live well solo.

@natyiu0
apparently you need $600 - $1000 to live solo in Addis according to perplexity.. you can also see the SF one

FYI : The average monthly income of an average Ethiopian in 2025 is approximately 7,052 Ethiopian Birr (ETB), which is about $55 USD per month according to perplexity 👀..

I get really disappointed when people blame a lack of something for not doing what they’re supposed to do—when in reality, they could’ve just started with what they had and made some progress.

The truth is, most people I met already have more than enough. It’s not about resources. It’s laziness.

First, ask yourself:
Are you making excuses to feel better… just to escape the guilt of seeing others win with less than you had?

Announcing Benaiah 🎉
Benaiah.org

Benaiah is a digital mission initiative that extends a heartfelt invitation for all people to draw closer to God.

Benaiah, means God has Created or Built and we want that essence of God working and creating through us. It is also the name of a mighty, honorable and heroic warrior who was captain of King David's bodyguards.

Our team is composed of 20 gifted individuals from all over Ethiopia and the US involving authors, graphic designers, narrators, developers and more all united by a passion for Christ and His word.

We aim to encourage believers and spread the good news of the gospels far and wide through Biblical insights and creative expressions like devotionals, study materials, graphics, narrations and more. So that everyone can come partake in God's endless love and mercy.

We have been at work for 4 months and produced so much content that you are completely free to take, share and spread along with us. You can find us on all major platforms, in both English and Amharic.

It is our prayer, that this blessed you and comforts your soul in more ways than imaginable.

localhost: I’ve been thinking the best move for localhost is to run a “Nights & Weekends” kind of thing, like what Buildspace does. Every couple of months, we’ll open up applications for a new batch.

The idea is simple: you pick a project—maybe a passion project, a startup idea, or a SaaS—and work on it during nights and weekends. That way, it fits around school or work. By the end of the month, you’ll (hopefully) have something real and working. It’s all about giving people a reason, a timeline, and a community to build with.
