Imagine Barabbas — the criminal who was supposed to be crucified. He was guilty, no question about it. But Jesus stepped in, not just to cover our guilt like sacrifices did, but to take it on Himself and remove it entirely. As Colossians 2:14 says, He nailed our record of wrongs to the cross. Easter isn’t just about Jesus rising from the dead — it’s about Him switching places with us, paying our debt, and giving us His freedom. Barabbas walked off the platform a free man. So do we, because of Easter.

What a carnivorous society we Ethiopians are—God!

I happened to pass through Akaki, one of the places known for its cattle marketplace. Dude, the place was packed—with oxen, sheep, goats, hens... you name it. And the people? My God, the number of people there buying, and the farmers selling—you can't even see anything clearly, let alone walk through.

It really makes me wonder how others see us—like a straight-up, walking, meat-eating society that eats raw meat for fun 😂🤦‍♂️.

I mean, have you seen how some people bite one end of the meat with their teeth, hold the other end with their hand, and cut through it with a sharp knife like a predator feeding on its prey? That's why I always find it hilarious when Ethiopians say they're vegetarians. Say what? 😁

I bet that same dude is crushing bone marrow from a poor sheep with zenezena and feeding on it like it’s the last meal of the century. Honestly, being 100% vegetarian when you're born and raised in Ethiopia feels almost impossible!
