Reality of the current market. You have to apply for hundreds of jobs before you even get a response. After getting a response demo the competition is fierce. AFTER getting accepted demo the lay offs. This is the kinda thing that makes you wanna give up. you'd think the learning is the hard part but that's not it. You have to normalize rejection. Living in a third world country doesn't make it easier. you will lose opportunities because of internet and power and there's nothing you can do about it. Don't mind me αˆ†α‹΅ α‰₯ሢኝ αŠα‹

Testing out my brand new phone by installing some cool node packages (react cool ? HuhπŸ€”)... Finally got rid of that dumb phone that wouldn't even let me use Termux. Now I've got something better and I can't wait to give it a whirl! By the way, don't limit yourself by thinking you need a fancy PC or laptop. You can totally use your phone for coding too. I'll be using my phone to code whenever my PC isn't around. [ Like when am in the classroom😁 ] I think it works fine for a lot of stuff ...

I'm having an issue with my phone. When I plug in the USB and connect it to the PC, it doesn't get recognized. The problem is not with the PC; it's with my phone. Can anyone relate to or help with this issue?

@selfmadecoder
Guess what? I'm working on my side project during class using my phone. I'm using Termux to set up servers, but it doesn't have MongoDB, so I need an external fix. I'm looking into other database options like MySQL, Postgres, or Redis.

By the way, if you're into a mobile text editor that's like VS Code, "A Code Editor" is great! It's similar to VS Code and has cool features like material icons, Prettier, and an API tester. It's like a coding wonderland. I'll be sharing a video on this channel soon about setting up a mobile dev environment, so stay tuned!

Has any of you guys deployed your app on the Google Play Store? If so, could you share advice and experiences regarding the process, including payments, verification, and other aspects?

AI stuff is getting crazy! First, it was like, "Is her hair real or just makeup?" Now it's, "Is she a real person or just AI?" 😁 It's kinda mind-blowing, kinda silly. What's next in this tech adventure? πŸ˜…

You guys coming??

Is Elon Musk the only person on this planet to generate wild and entirely new ideas beka 😁? This car is seriously impressive; hardly anyone could complain, even though I've heard a few saying it's not that groundbreaking.

@selfmadecoder
Today was amazingβ€”I mean, the best. I nearly risked my economics midterm (test, Idk 😁). It wasn't that hard, so I answered all the questions with my sharp mind [just kidding😁]and immediately left the hall not to miss the GDSC event. Luckily (yehabesha ketero 😁), I just got there in time. It was a hell of an eventβ€”started with some info about the Alx program, followed by a panel discussion, a refreshment break, and lastly, workshops.

There were workshops on AngularJS, Flutter, and Cloud Computing, and they were also amazing. I'll post the details later today, so make sure to check the channel again ...

@selfmadecoder
Mukerem Ali was one of the highlights of today's GDSC event! Currently working at #Turing, he shared genuine experiences and advice with us. After the panel discussion, I somehow managed to chat with him for around 30 - 40 minutesβ€”it was abso-fricking-lutely amazing! 😁 We covered topics like competitive programming, portfolio development, open-source contributions, mentorship, challenges, breaking into tech industry, his experience, programming journey, and valuable advice on creating the right environment and persistence. His humility, lack of pride, and willingness to share were truly inspiring. I love his passion and energy for technology and programming. It felt like exactly what I was looking for.
