This actually happened today. I told my mom to wake me up at 5 AM, but I changed my plan in the middle of the night and ended up going to bed at 4 AM—just an hour before she was supposed to wake me up. And well... what you see in the video is exactly what happened at 5 AM. 😂😁🤦♂

Just built this cool website called Real Time ! You can share your current status with a 60-character text, one image, your name, and avatar. The background even matches your pic’s vibe—or you can tweak it. It also adds a timestamp for easy social media sharing. Thought it’d be cool to share! Go easy on it, though—it’s barely working 😂

Me: You see, JavaScript is single-threaded, but with async/await, it kinda feels like multitasking!

Here's lnk.moe my app for showcasing well pretty much anything, the site is at a good enough stage for a closed beta and I'm doing a waitlist and invite thingie.
I've currently only invited @dagmawi_babi but more to follow
Here's my page lnk.moe/robi ( easter egg included )
Secure your link url by registering for the waitlist, first come first serve lol.
Thanks for your patience eskahun
5 waitlist signups in 15 mins on a 7 am is wild besmam

It's been about a week since I finished the project. Now, I'm working on some UI improvements. It's a simple chat app, and I was trying to implement a video call feature using WebRTC—but we'll see how it goes.

My next side project will still focus on WebSockets. I'm planning to build an Excalidraw-like application and make it interactive, allowing two users to collaboratively control everything on the board. They will be able to see changes in real time, similar to Figma's real-time collaboration feature.

Take 2 minutes to wipe down your phone screen. you’ll thank me later! Feels so fresh, right? 👌 Makes using your phone fun again 🔥.

I've come to understand the difference between a Build System Orchestrator and Monorepo Frameworks.
A Build System Orchestrator, like Turborepo, focuses on handling multiple build tasks efficiently. It speeds up workflows by using caching and parallel execution, making things run much faster and more smoothly.
On the other hand, Monorepo Frameworks are designed to manage multiple projects within a single repository. Tools like npm and Yarn (for package management) and frameworks like Nx provide features for dependency management, project structuring, and execution strategies across the repo.
So, in a way, Turborepo works as a build orchestrator, enhancing these monorepo tools by adding smarter task execution and caching capabilities to boost overall efficiency.

I'm honestly kinda worried about landing pages these days. It’s getting really hard to figure out what a company actually does just by looking at them—even though that’s supposed to be the whole point. Feels like we’re trading simplicity and functionality for fancy, over-the-top designs.
Take the hero section, for example—half the time, it’s some random phrase that has nothing to do with the company, like ‘pushing the world one step to the highs’ for a web analytics tool... wild 😁. And don’t even get me started on those super flashy, user-unfriendly designs packed with charts and graphs everywhere. wdt??

If DeepSeek's AI models are as good as OpenAI's GPT-4 or even GPT-4-turbo, then does this imply one of the following?
- NVIDIA is supplying high-end GPUs to Chinese companies (which might not be possible due to export restrictions).
- China has developed GPUs that are as powerful as NVIDIA's.
- They have found a way to achieve similar performance with lower compute requirements.
