To be honest, I felt like giving up yesterday. The campaign slowed down, and I wasnβt sure how weβd reach the goal. But then a friend reminded me why we started this, to give Kalkidan a talented dev building for our communityβa chance to grow. Hereβs theβ¦
Guys itβs the last stretch. We almost there. Letβs do this π

Name Kalkidan
1. Send 100 if you havenβt
2. Tell to one friend to send 100. Make sure they do it.
3. And tell them to do the same by telling another friend.
We will get there really fast if we all did it so letβs all participate guys.

This actually happened today. I told my mom to wake me up at 5 AM, but I changed my plan in the middle of the night and ended up going to bed at 4 AMβjust an hour before she was supposed to wake me up. And well... what you see in the video is exactly what happened at 5 AM. πππ€¦ββ

Just built this cool website called Real Time ! You can share your current status with a 60-character text, one image, your name, and avatar. The background even matches your picβs vibeβor you can tweak it. It also adds a timestamp for easy social media sharing. Thought itβd be cool to share! Go easy on it, thoughβitβs barely working π

Me: You see, JavaScript is single-threaded, but with async/await, it kinda feels like multitasking!

It's been about a week since I finished the project. Now, I'm working on some UI improvements. It's a simple chat app, and I was trying to implement a video call feature using WebRTCβbut we'll see how it goes.

My next side project will still focus on WebSockets. I'm planning to build an Excalidraw-like application and make it interactive, allowing two users to collaboratively control everything on the board. They will be able to see changes in real time, similar to Figma's real-time collaboration feature.

I've come to understand the difference between a Build System Orchestrator and Monorepo Frameworks.
A Build System Orchestrator, like Turborepo, focuses on handling multiple build tasks efficiently. It speeds up workflows by using caching and parallel execution, making things run much faster and more smoothly.
On the other hand, Monorepo Frameworks are designed to manage multiple projects within a single repository. Tools like npm and Yarn (for package management) and frameworks like Nx provide features for dependency management, project structuring, and execution strategies across the repo.
So, in a way, Turborepo works as a build orchestrator, enhancing these monorepo tools by adding smarter task execution and caching capabilities to boost overall efficiency.
