Usually, I sleep at 11:00 PM and wake up at 4:00 AM, but not tonight! Got a ton of bugs to fix, so it’s an all-nighter for me. At least I’ll get to catch the New Year’s moon 🌙 (perks of being up late, right?) and maybe post some random stuff that’ll be deleted by morning ⚡️.

This Christmas insane! A bunch of us tech bros and sis got together for a Secret Santa game. The rules were simple: you get assigned someone to gift, but you can’t let them know it’s you. I was the Secret Santa for @Luna_moonmam, and let me tell you—I suck at coming up with gift ideas. My first thought was to create a planet with 3JS (because, you know, "Luna"), but man, I tried everything and still couldn’t pull it off. Let’s just say my skills weren’t up to the task.
With 7 days to work with and already wasting 3 of them, I had to think fast. So, I ended up designing a custom coffee mug for her (since she loves coffee). But wait—it wasn’t just a mug. I added a QR code on it that links to a custom app I built for her! 🚀
The app works as her personal video and photo diary: she can record a 10-second video every day and capture up to 10 photo memories daily. I even took inspiration from her channel name to keep it aligned with her "life pathway."

And my Secret Santa was @mr_naty… let me tell you, this dude gave me one hell of an experience! 😁👌. It all started with an app he developed specifically for the game. When I opened it, the app showed me a map and prompted me to go to a specific location. Following the map, I ended up at an Indian restaurant called Korak around Bole. And guess what? I got to try Indian food for the first time!
But that wasn’t it—after the meal, I had to open the app again and solve a series of puzzles. It was wild! I had to decode a Base64 string to find a word that served as my password to unlock the gift. Finally, I got my gift, which turned out to be: A 1-month gym membership (in cash), 30 eggs, 🥚 The source code of the app
Seriously, it was such a fun and creative experience. I loved every single part of it! And to top it all off, we even paid 2000 ETB for kita and Indian doro wot 😁🔥. Man, this was hands down the best Christmas experience ever!
