When you experience your own body you may think that you are the body, but you are not the body. You experience, "I see the body." so you are the seer of the body. It is here that you make the mistake: You become the body and you forget that you are the seer. You have become an object when you say, "I am doing. Tam seeing. I am tasting. I am touching. Tam smelling. I am hearing." You have lost your bearings and become the body - the seer is no longer separated from the body. Whatever is seen is an object, so when the body is objectified who is the seer?

"Happiness is our natural state. Happiness is the natural state of little children, to whom the kingdom belongs until they have been polluted and contaminated by the stupidity of society and culture. To acquire happiness you don't have to do anything, because happiness cannot be acquired. Does anybody know why? Because we have it already. How can you acquire what you already have? Then why don't you experience it?
Because you've got to drop something. You've got to drop illusions. You don't have to add anything in order to be happy; you've got to drop something. Life is easy, life is delightful. It's only hard on your illusions, your ambitions, your greed, your cravings. Do you know where these things come from? From having identified with all kinds of labels! "

If you could look inside the Heart of any and every single human being, you would fall in love with them completely. If you see the inside as it really Is and not as your mind projects it to be, you would be so purely in love with the whole thing.

What is the means for constantly holding on to the thought ‘Who am I?’
When other thoughts arise, one should not pursue them, but should inquire: ‘To whom do they arise?’ It does not matter how many thoughts arise. As each thought arises, one should inquire with diligence, “To whom has this thought arisen?” The answer that would emerge would be “To me”. Thereupon if one inquires “Who am I?” the mind will go back to its source; and the thought that arose will become quiescent.
As long as there are impressions of objects in the mind, so long the inquiry “Who am I?” is required. As thoughts arise they should be destroyed then and there in the very place of their origin, through inquiry. If one resorts to contemplation of the Self unintermittently, until the Self is gained, that alone would do. As long as there are enemies within the fortress, they will continue to sally forth; if they are destroyed as they emerge, the fortress will fall into our hands.

Every problem begins because you believe in being in control, being responsible for, but if you observe closely, you will realize that thoughts happen in the same way as the rain: without any control of yours. When these thoughts happen and you believe they are yours, you mistake yourself for the story they tell and, then, you end up existing in this illusion of being someone who has problems.
All these thoughts revolve around this self-image, which is what you believe you are. It is this self-image that has problems - problems with other people, emotional, psychological, health problems; Problems with the past, with the future ... Self-image, this "sense of I" is struggling to change things, which is an illusion. Thus, conflict, suffering and fear remain.

Our minds are conditioned - that is an obvious fact - conditioned by a particular culture or society, influenced by various impressions, by the strains and stresses of relationships, by economic, climatic, educational factors, by religious conformity and so on. Our minds are trained to accept fear and to escape, if we can, from that fear, never being able to resolve, totally and completely, the whole nature and structure of fear. So our first question is: can the mind, so heavily burdened, resolve completely, not only its conditioning, but also its fears? Because it is fear that makes us accept conditioning.

A poor man came into the hall and
stood opposite to Bhagavan’s sofa.
As Bhagavan was busy writing something,
he did not notice him.
The attendants asked the poor man to go out.
He did not go.
“If you do not go away, why not sit?” they said.
He did not move.
Bhagavan lifted his head and looked at him questioningly.
The poor man said with great eagerness,
“Swami, I do not want anything.
My stomach is burning with hunger.
Please arrange to give me one handful of rice to satisfy this great hunger.”
Bhagavan looked at his attendants indicating his intentions.
“For this small thing, should you ask Bhagavan? Come, let us go,”
said one of the attendants and
took the poor man towards the kitchen.
After they left, Bhagavan looked at all those in the hall and said,
“Do you see that?
As he is a very poor man,
he has no desires except one and
that is to fill his stomach with food as it is burning with hunger.
With that, he will be satisfied and will go.
He goes and lies down under some tree and sleeps happily.
Where do we have the satisfaction that he has?
We have any number of desires.
If one desire is satisfied another one comes up.
Hence where is the chance for our desires to be satisfied?”
