Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators rallied across Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen today, with some of the largest gatherings taking place in Saada and the capital Sana'a, as part of the movement's nationwide "Friday of Warning and Mobilization" campaign.

Organized following a call by Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the protests condemned what participants described as the ongoing blockade and foreign aggression against Yemen, while expressing support for continued mobilization.

Military tensions are rising in northern Yemen after a large convoy of the Homeland Shield Forces (HSF) - one of the Presidential Leadership Council's (PLC) main military formations - departed the Saudi-linked logistics hub of al-Abr toward Marib, while tribal fighters aligned with both the PLC and the Ansarallah (Houthi) movement have spent weeks mobilizing around al-Rayyan district in neighboring al-Jawf governorate.

The deployment has fueled speculation of growing Saudi involvement, as al-Abr hosts the Saudi military's 37th Brigade Base and serves as Riyadh's principal logistical hub in eastern Yemen.

The buildup coincides with two meetings in the past 24 hours between Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and the Deputy Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), further highlighting heightened military coordination.

The opposing forces field substantial manpower: Ansarallah is estimated to command around 200,000 troops, supported by 20,000 pro-Houthi tribal fighters and 20,000 reservists, while the anti-Houthi camp - including the PLC's Homeland Shield Forces, coalition units, tribal forces, Giants Brigades, National Resistance Forces, Emergency Forces and the Southern Transitional Council - numbers well over 250,000 personnel.

Renewed confrontation could rapidly escalate into one of the largest military clashes in Yemen since the current ceasefire period began.

Yesterday (Thursday), the IDF and ISA struck in the Khan Yunis area and eliminated the terrorist Anas Mahmoud Ahmed Hamdan, a Hamas Company Commander who served as a central figure in the captivity of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip and participated in the processes related to their transfer and return to Israel as part of hostage release deals. Additionally, Hamdan was responsible for the propaganda activities of Hamas’ Khan Yunis Brigade.

For years, including throughout the war, Hamdan served as a close aide to senior commanders in Hamas’ military wing, including Mohammed Deif and Rafaa Salameh.

During the war, Hamdan was directly involved in holding Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity and was responsible for documenting the hostages during the release ceremonies. Prior to the war, he was also involved in the captivity of Avera Mengistu.

Recently, Hamdan trained Hamas terrorists and worked to advance terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.

The IDF continues to expand its ground control in Gaza, with recent satellite-image analysis indicating further advances in the southern and northern parts of the Strip

The Israeli army has established a military outpost on the ruins of the well known Khiam prison in southern Lebanon.

Khiam prison became infamous as the main detention facility for members and supporters of Hezbollah, Amal, "palestinian" terrorist organizations and other armed terrorist groups fighting Israeli and South Lebanon Army forces - Jews, Christians and Shi'a Muslims.

Operated by the South Lebanon Army with Israeli backing between 1985 and 2000, the prison held security detainees captured during the insurgency and became one of the conflict's most symbolic sites before being converted into a museum after Israel's withdrawal and later largely destroyed during the 2006 Lebanon War.
