Waking up Monday on the sixth day of their mission around the Moon, currently on the far side over 252,756 miles away from Earth, the Astronauts onboard Artemis ll were surprised by a message from the Late Commander of Apollo 13, Jim Lovell, who died in August 2025 at age 97, but before he passed recorded a message for the crew which stated:
“Hello Artemis II! this is Apollo astronaut Jim Lovell. Welcome to my old neighborhood. When Frank Borman and Bill Andrews and I orbited the moon on Apollo 8, we got humanity's first up close look at the Moon and got a view of the home planet that inspired and united people around the world. I'm proud to pass that torch on to you as you swing around the Moon and lay the groundwork for missions to Mars, for the benefit of all. It's a historic day, and I know how busy you'll be, but don't forget to enjoy the view. So, Reid and Victor and Christina and Jeremy, and all the great teams are supporting you, good luck and Godspeed from all of us here on the good Earth.”

Protests erupted in Basra, southern Iraq, as angry crowds stormed and seized control of the Kuwaiti consulate following reports of civilian casualties blamed on a failed Kuwaiti strike.
Earlier today, a HIMARS rocket intended to target Iran instead hit farmland in the Basra area, killing and injuring Iraqi civilians.
Demonstrators, some linked to the Iranian-backed terrorists Popular Mobilization Forces, accused Kuwait of responsibility and called for retaliation, with some chanting demands for war against Gulf monarchies.
Footage from the scene shows protesters removing the Kuwaiti flag from the consulate building as tensions escalate and they try to storm the building.

Following a situational assessment, and as part of preparations for the possible expiration of the ultimatum [given to Iran by Trump], there may be an increase in fire toward the territory of the State of Israel in the coming hours.
The IDF emphasizes that, at this stage, the public should remain vigilant, alert, and act responsibly, while continuing to follow the Home Front Command’s instructions, which are updated from time to time.
Should there be any changes in the situational assessment, the public will be updated accordingly.
The IDF is prepared to operate both defensively and offensively.

The airstrikes are ongoing.

Multiple Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF)-linked terrorist sites across Baghdad, Iraq have been targeted in a wave of U.S. airstrikes, with explosions and attacks reported in several districts of the capital.
Positions belonging to the 19th Brigade of the Iran-backed PMF, in the Saba Al-Bour area of Baghdad are under heavy fire.
The PMF terrorist organization has launched over 700 attacks against U.S. and kurdish assets in Iraq since the start of the war.
U.S. Air Force airstrikes also targeted two residential properties located on Palestine Street and in the Al-A’amiriya neighborhood of Baghdad. Footage (2nd video attached) shows that one of the targeted houses was used to store ammunition, as secondary explosions can be observed at the site.
