A 21-year-old resident of Jerusalem has been arrested following a joint investigation by the district’s central unit and the Shin Bet for security offenses including conspiracy and espionage on behalf of Iranian intelligence.

Israeli authorities said the criminal was in contact throughout 2025 with an Iranian operative he met via social media, and carried out tasks such as gathering information and photographing sites across Israel, as well as purchasing equipment, while knowingly acting for a hostile entity in exchange for payment received through cryptocurrency.

The spy was detained on March 26, 2026, and an indictment is expected to be filed, with officials citing the case as part of a broader pattern of Iranian efforts to recruit Israeli citizens online using digital platforms and covert financial transfers.

The Israeli army distributed leaflets in the Ras al-Ain area and the Rashidia road in southern Lebanon, calling on residents to move to the area north of the Zahrani River.

Troops from the Nahal Brigade continue to operate in southern Lebanon. As part of their targeted activity, the brigade’s troops continue to locate and dismantle weapons and terrorist infrastructure. During their operations, the brigade struck and eliminated the three terrorists who killed four israeli troops from the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit — CPT Noam Madmoni, SSGT Ben Cohen, SSGT Maxsim Entis, and SSGT Gilad Harel.

The terrorists were eliminated in close-quarters combat, and it was later verified through precise intelligence that they were the same terrorists responsible for the troops’ deaths.

Islamist violence against christians is surging across Nigeria, as jihadists abducted more than 150 people, mostly women and children, from two Christian villages in Zamfara State, while troops in neighboring Kaduna State rescued 31 Christian civilians taken during an Easter church attack in Ariko village, where at least 5 people were found dead.

In Benue State, at least 17 people were killed in an assault on the Mbalom community in Gwer West, part of a region where clashes often pit mostly Muslim Fulani herders against largely Christian farming communities. The Kaduna victims were worshippers attacked during Easter services.
