Aleppo International Airport will reopen on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, after it was temporarily closed from January 7 due to fighting between the Syrian government and the SDF in Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods.

U.S. Central Command has been instructed to prepare for around-the-clock, high-level operational support over the coming month as Washington weighs its options amid rising tensions involving Iran.

The British newspaper The Times reports that doctors, on the ground, in Iran say that at least 16,500 protesters have been killed and about 330,000 have been injured.

Many of the protesters who were injured died due to a shortage of blood. In some cases it wass reported that IRGC operatives refused to allow doctors to perform blood transfusions to save the wounded.

It was also reported that regime forces even dragged protesters from their hospital beds into detention, or left them to die, as I reported here last Friday.

Against the backdrop of the security tension with Iran, security procedures at Israel's government meeting today have been tightened.

Ministers who arrived this morning at the meeting were required to cover the cameras with special stickers, and all the advisors' phones were also handled.

In addition, spokespersons who requested to film videos of the ministers at the end of the meeting were refused, and the cameras were only opened outside the Prime Minister's office.
