በዚህ ጥቅስ ውስጥ ምን ትረጂያለሽ? በፀጋ ባገኘነው ህይወት ስንኖር እንደሚገባ መመላለስ ከእኛ ይጠበቃል። ይህንን ሀሳብ ለማጉላት አብዛኛውን ጊዜ ጳውሎስ ስፓርታዊ ልምምዶችን እና የጨዋታ ህጎችን ለምሳሌነት ሲጠቀም ይስተዋላል። የጨዋታውን ድል ለመቀዳጀት በጨዋታው ሜዳ ከመሳተፍ ባለፈ የምንጫወትበት መንገድ ትልቅ ዋጋ አለው!

What stands out to you in this verse? We are expected to walk properly in our Christian life. To illustrate this point, Paul often uses sporting practices and "rules of the game" as examples. To "win" the game, he's saying, the way we play is more important than just being on the field!

እግዚአብሔር ከአፋችን ለሚወጡት ቃላት ግድ እንደሚለው ብናውቅም፣ አንዳንድ ጊዜ የምንናገራቸውን ግድየለሽ ነገሮችን ለመሸፈን በቀልድ ወይም በግማሽ ልብ ወዳጅነት እንሸሸጋለን። እግዚአብሔር ሁሉንም ያያል፣ ሁሉንም ይሰማል። ልባችንን እና አንደበታችንን በአምሳሉ ለፈጠራቸው ሰዎች እንዲያለዝብልን እግዚአብሔርን እንለምነው። የአንደበት ለውጥ ብቻ ሳይሆን ከልብ የሆነ መቀደስም ይሁንልን።

Even when we know God cares about the words that come out of our mouths, sometimes we hide behind humor or half-hearted friendliness to cover for the painful things we say. God sees it all, and He hears it all. Praying for our hearts and our mouths to be kind to those He made in His image.

በዚህ መዝሙር ውስጥ ከዳዊት የነፍስ ፀሎት ምን መማር እንችላለን? በጥቂት ጊዜ በተገደበ የምድር ቆይታችን አንዳንዶቻችን ባልተገቡ ሁኔታዎች ሌሎቻችን ደግሞ መልካም በሆኑ የህይወት ሃላፊነቶች ተወጥረን ሁሉ የሚያልፍ በማይመስል ሁኔታ ውስጥ ራሳችንን እናገኘዋለን። ሆኖም ግን የተጠራንለት ህይወት ከዚህ አለም ያለፈ ፋይዳ ስላለው ዛሬ ቆም ብለን እግዚአብሔር በእለተ ተዕለት ህይወታችን ማስተዋል እንዲሰጠን እንፀልይ።

What can we learn from David's prayer in this Psalm? During our limited time on earth, some of us may find ourselves in compromising situations, and the rest of us are too busy with life's honorable responsibilities. ለሌሎች እውነተኛ እና ከልብ የሆነ ፍቅር ማሳየት ብዙውን ጊዜ መስዋዕትነትን ይጠይቃል። ከምቾታችን ያስወጣናል። ፕሮግራማችንን፣ ገንዘብ አያያዛችንን፣ ጊዜአችንን፣ ጉልበታችንን፣ ስሜታችንን... መስዋዕትነቱ ሁሉን የሚያካትት ነው። ነገር ግን ክርስቶስ እኛን የወደደበት ፍቅር እንደዚህ አይነት ነው፣ ስለዚህም ይህን ፍቅር ለሌሎች መስጠት እንደሚቻል እርግጠኛ መሆን እንችላለን። ክርስቶስ እንዳደረገው ሌሎችን የመውደድ ኃይል እንዲኖራችሁ ዛሬ ስለእናንተ እጸልያለሁ - በተግባር እና በእውነት እንደወደደን መንፈስ ቅዱስ እኛም ሌሎችን በዚሁ አይነት ፍቅር እንድንወድ ይርዳን።

Showing true and genuine love to others usually requires sacrifice. It takes us out of our comfort zone. It affects your schedule, your finances, our time, our energy... It is all-encompassing. But such is the love with which Christ loves us and because of that, we can be sure giving this love to others is possible. Praying for you today that you are empowered to love others as Christ did— in action and in truth.

በህይወታችን ውስጥ በሚያጋጥሙን፣ እያጋጠሙን ባሉ ወይም ደግሞ ሊያጋጥሙን ይችላሉ ብለን በምናስባቸው ሁኔታዎች ሳቢያ ጭንቀትን እናስተናግዳለን። ነገር ግን የእግዚአብሔር ቃል ጥቂት በማይባል ደረጃ እንዳንጨነቅ ይመክረናል። እግዚአብሔር በቃሉ አትጨነቁ ሲልም የሚያስጨንቅ ነገር እንደሌለ በመንገር ሳይሆን ከሁሉ በላይ ታላቅ የሆነው እግዚአብሔር ስለ እኛ አሳቢ መሆኑን በመግለጥ ነው። ስለዚህም እግዚአብሔር ላይ መደገፍ እንደምንችል አውቀን እንድንበረታ፣ ስለችሎታው እና ስለአሳቢነቱ እንድናከብረው ነው።

There is so much in this world that can rightly concern us, worry us, or even cause us stress. Then why does the Word of God repeatedly tell us not to worry? When God tells us not to worry, it is not by telling us that there is nothing to worry about, but by revealing that God, who is the greatest of all, knows and cares about the things that worry us— and that He can be trusted to help us in and through them.

መንገዴን ቃኘሁ፤ አካሄዴንም ወደ ምስክርህ አቀናሁ።

እለት እለት ስለመንገዳችን ማጤን እና የህይወታችን አቅጣጫ መፈተሽ እንደ ክርስቲያን ከእኛ የሚጠበቅ ተግባር ነው። የአካሄዳችንን ልክነት የምንመዝነው ደግሞ  የእግዚአብሔርን ቃል መሰረት በማድረግ ነው። ሁል ጊዜ በማስተዋል፣ መንገዳችንን በመፈተሽ እንደ ቃሉ ለመኖር የሚያስችለውን ፀጋ እግዚአብሔር ያብዛልን።

Daily reflection on our chosen path and checking the direction of our life is something we should regularly do as Christians. We measure the validity of our actions and choices based on the Word of God. May God give us the grace to live according to His Word by always discerning and examining our ways.

ታዛዥነት ትዕዛዝን ከመስማት ያለፈ እርምጃን ይጠይቃል። ታዛዥነት ጥበብን ይጠይቃል። የእግዚአብሔርን ቃል ሁል ጊዜ ማዳመጥ እና ማወቅ ተገቢ የሆነ ድርጊት ሲሆን በተግባር ማዋል ደግሞ ፍሬ አልባ ከሆነ ህይወት ያተርፈናል።

Obedience is so much more than hearing and knowing the order. Obedience shapes our response to what we know; obedience is wisdom. The Word of God is always worth hearing, and putting it into practice will make us fruitful in this life and the next.

ክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ወደ ምድር የመጣበት መንገድ ለእኛ ያለውን የፍቅር ልክ ያሳየናል። በዚህ ምድር በተመላለሰበት ጊዜም በሁሉም ተግባሩ ፍቅርን ሲሰብክ ኖሯል። በመጨረሻው ፀሎቱም  ከአባቱ ጋር ባላቸው ፍቅር ልክ እኛ እንድንዋደድ ፀልዮልናል። የመጨረሻ ትዕዛዙም የፍቅር ትዕዛዝ ነው። ታዲያ ይህን ትዕዛዝ በማክበር እንዴት እንኑር?

The way Jesus Christ came to earth shows us His love for us. When He walked on this earth, He preached love through all His actions. Also, in His last prayer, He prayed for us to love each one another as He loved His Father. His last commandment, His parting words, were the commandment of love. How can we live in obedience to this commandment?

ሀሳብ የተግባራችን ምንጩ ነው! ሰው በሚያስበው ሀሳብ የሚመራ በመሆኑ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ስለ ሀሳብ በተለያየ መንገድ ይመክረናል። ታዲያ ሀሳባችን ተግባራችንን ከወሰነ በዚህ ጊዜያዊ በሆነው በምድር ቆይታችን የሀሳባችን ትኩረት ከምድሩ ባለፈው እና ዘላለማዊ በሆነው ላይ እንዲሆን ይገባዋል። መልካም ሳምንት።

Actions are born from our thoughts and from what our mind meditates on! Since we are guided by our thoughts, the Bible emphasizes the need to be mindful of what we entertain. ለአንድ ክርስቲያን የእግዚአብሔርን ፈቃድ ማወቅ የህይወት ቀዳሚ መርህ በመሆኑ መፅሐፍ ቅዱስ የእግዚአብሔርን ፈቃድ በማወቅ እንድንመላለስ ይመክረናል። የእግዚአብሔር የተገለጠ ፈቃዱ በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ የታየ እንዲሁም በቃሉ ውስጥ አማኞች በህይወታቸው ይመላለሱበት ዘንድ በግልፅ የተቀመጠ ነው!

One of the greatest gifts from God to mankind is God revealing himself. God has been with His people since time immemorial, and it was not because of any effort from our part. But God goes even further, He revealed Himself to us in His Son Jesus Christ to show us His love and kindness.

ዳዊት በህይወቱ ከእግዚአብሔር ሀሳብ ፈቀቅ በማለት አምላኩን ሲያሳዝን ራሱን በማዋረድ ረድኤትን እና የመነሳት አቅምን የሚጠብቀው ከ ራሱ ከእግዚአብሔር ነው። በህይወት ያዛለንን ድካም በማመን በእግዚአብሔር ፊት በመቅረብ የእሽታ መንፈስ ደግፎ እንዲያነሳን እንጠይቀው።

When David displeased God, he humbled himself and waited for help from God Himself. Holding our weaknessed in our hands, let us come before God and ask Him to give us a spirit of willingness, let us ask Him to help us love Him better.
