Pink Floyd have basically spent 45 years doing the Tankie vs Shitlib debate. It's split the band on multiple occasions and dominates the mid to late stage of the music. They're all boomers, they all believe in John Lennon's imagine as an ideal to strive for, but the problem is Roger Waters sees Zionism and the American deep-state as a hindrance, whereas Dave Gilmore holds a more generic libtard world view in which Jewish exceptionalism cannot be questioned or spoken about.

The generic Boomer worldview of Gilmore was always hopelessly naïve and doomed to fail. The assumption was that only white racists and Christians would stand in opposition to the dream of the progressive universal man, when it turns out that another group are also claiming a special dispensation, another group they may not criticize — it becomes obsolete. Nothing more than a virtue signal.
