Umar ibnu Ali as-Sakkandari, known as Al-fakihani, may Allaah have mercy on him, said:

"

I do not know of any origin (evidence) nether in Kitaab nor in Sunnah in favour of this (celebrating) Mawlid, nor it was transmitted from any of the scholars of the nation, who are the role models in religion, rather It is an innovation (Bid'ah) created by the (evil) jobless people."

Al-Mawrid fi amali-l-Mawlid: pg34

Al-Hafilh Ibn Hajar al-'Askalaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

“The origin of celebrating Al-Mawlid is an innovation (Bid'ah), which was not transmitted from any of the righteous predecessors of the three centuries."

AlHawi li-lFatawi: pg1/196
Sheikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said,

It is neither permissible for Muslims to celebrate Mawlid on the 12 night of Rabi' al Awwal or at any other time, nor may they celebrate the birth of anyone else.

This is because celebrating birthdays is a new innovation, as the Prophet ‎ﷺ did not celebrate his birthday during his lifetime, and he was the one who conveyed the religion of Islam and the Islamic law from His Rabb.

He did not order that it be celebrated. He did not do this and neither did the Rightly Guided Caliphs, the Companions, nor the Tabi’un (followers, the generation after the Companions), and they were the best and favoured generations of Islam.

“How strange is the one who was close to his Lord then disobeyed Him, and due to his disobedience became close to Satan, whom he obeyed.”

If you want to benefit from the Qur'ân, you must concentrate and devote your heart solely when reciting and listening to it.

You must pay attention, and try to comprehend the fact that what you are reading is the word of Allah.

As you read, you must know that Allah is addressing you in and through this Qur'ân. Indeed, it is the words of Allah to you through the
tongue of His Messenger.

Allah says,

"Verily, therein is indeed a reminder for him who has a heart or gives ear while he is heedful."

Man's endeavors in life arise from two main capacities:

(i) a
theoretical capacity of awareness,

and (i) a practical capacity of willingness to act.

Therefore his complete happiness depends
on both.

The perfection of the theoretical capacity of awareness comes about by knowing his Creator, and His Beautiful Names and Attributes.

It also lies in knowing the road that leads to Him and its obstacles, and by knowing his own self and its flaws.

By means of these things, he will attain perfection of the theoretical capacity of awareness. The most knowledgeable
people are those who know them best.

The perfection of the practical capacity of willingness to act, does not occur unless the rights of Allah, the Almighty are observed by the servant. The rights of Allah are fulfilled by
performing one's obligations with sincerity, honesty, advice, kindness, and acknowledging His favor upon him.

Therefore, the servant of Allah feels shy to stand before Him with the small amount of service he did for Allah, because he knows that it is far below what He deserves. He also knows that there is no way to perfect these two capacities unless Allah helps Him. So he desires to be guided to the Straight Way, to which He guides His sincere servants and helps them avoid the things that would let them stray from that Way, either by an
imperfection in his capacity of awareness, or by an imperfection in his practical capacity. Going astray incurs the wrath of Allah, the Almighty.

Ayyam al-Beed - White Days

In shā Allāh, for this month of Jumādā al-Awwal 1446 AH, Ayyam al-Beed [white days] will fall on:

13th Jumādā al-Awwal – Friday 15th November 2024
14th Jumādā al-Awwal – Saturday 16th November 2024
15th Jumādā al-Awwal – Sunday 17th November 2024

“Beed” is the plural of “Abyad” which means white. Three days of 13, 14 and 15 of lunar month are called “Al-Ayyam-ul-Beed” for the reason that their nights are bright because of the moonlight. The moon begins to diminish gradually after these days.

Jareer ibn ‘Abdullaah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayyam al-beed are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.”

Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said to me: “If you fast any part of the month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.”

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said: “My close friend [i.e., the Prophet ﷺ] advised me to do three things which I will never give up until I die: fasting three days each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after praying Witr.”

What A Salaf Said Regarding Fasting, SubḥānAllāh!!

Sufyān b. ‘Uyaynah Raḥimahullāh said: “When on the Day of Resurrection a slave is being taken into account and from amongst all of his actions are sins, and all that remains is that person’s fast, Allāh will take from him all of the sins and enter him into Jannah with his fast.”

The Wisdom Behind Fasting | Sh. Ibn al-'Uthaymeen Raḥimahullāh

Sh. Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen Raḥimahullāh said: “From the wisdom of fasting is that it is a form of training for controlling the soul and the power to stop yourself for indeed man is inclined towards evil except for the one to whom mercy is shown by Allāh, it also overwhelms a person and makes them humble, it gives them humility towards the Creator and kindness towards the creation.

From the wisdom of fasting is that the blood becomes less flowing, it becomes more thick and more constricted when a person is hungry and thirsty, this causes the flowing of Shayṭān to be less as well for indeed Shayṭān flows through the bloodstream of the son of Ādam as has been authentically narrated from the Prophet ﷺ in Bukhārī and Muslim so fasting decreases the whispers of Shayṭān and it decreases the episodes of lust and anger hence the reason fasting is called a 'shield’ against desires."

Prophet ﷺ said: "There is a gate in Jannāh called ar-Rayyān and only those who observed fast shall enter through."

Al Bassaam رحمه الله said: "Fasting increases mercy and people AWARE of the pain suffered by those less fortunate."

Prophet ﷺ said: "Every servant of Allah who observes fast for a day in the way of Allah, Allah would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years' distance.

Virtue Of Fasting

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts a day in the Path of Allāh, Allāh will create between him and the Hellfire a trench like (the distance of) what is between the sky and the earth.”

Reward Of Fasting

Sh. Ibn al-‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله: “And from the virtues of the fasting is that its reward is NOT limited to a specific amount rather the fasting person is given his reward without an account (i.e unlimited reward).”

Do try to fast the 3 white days, InshaAllāh!
