Sufyān ath-Thawri, [may Allāh bestow mercy upon him], said:

“Sometimes a man will narrate a hadeeth to me which I heard before his mother gave birth to him! However, due to good manners, I will listen to him [as though it is the first time I have heard such a hadeeth]”

Tāreekh Damishq, 5/66 | Al-Imām ibn Asākir, [may Allāh bestow mercy upon him]

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“That which is more virtuous during the (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, is to increase in worship, especially in Takbīr (saying Allāhu Akbar), Tahlīl (saying Lā Ilāha Illa Allāh), and Tahmīd (saying Alhamdu Lillāh), for that is superior than the Jihād which is not Fardh 'Ayn (obligatory upon every individual)."

A Series of Reminders About The Month of Dhū al-Ḥijjah - No.3

Heedlessness About The Virtue Of The First Ten Days Of Dhū al-Ḥijjah

Sh. Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn Raḥimahullāh said: "Righteous actions, including fasting, in the (first) ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah are more beloved to Allāh than righteous actions in the last ten days of Ramaḍān.

Yet the people are heedless of the ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. They pass and the people are upon their normals ways. You find no increase in reading the Qur'ān or other types of worship, rather some of them are even stingy with the takbīr."

The Virtue of Friday:

‎Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله

‎"Friday is the day of worship, its comparison to other days like the comparison of the month of Ramadan to other months and the hour in it is like the Night of Decree in Ramadan."

Ten phrases that easily lead to Paradise

Ten different phrases that are short, easy, and light, but will give you what no eye has seen, no hear has heard, and what no mind has imagined.

Enjoy (and implement):

6 – “Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times [Allahumma inni as’aluk al-Jannah], then Paradise will say: “O Allah! Enter him into Paradise!” And whoever seeks protection with Allah from the Fire three times [Allahumma najjini min an-Nar], the Fire will say: “O Allah! Protect him from the Fire!“”

[Reported by at-Tirmidhi, and it is authentic]

7 – “Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and the believing women, Allah writes for him – for every believing man and woman – a good deed.”

[Reported by at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Ahmad, and it is authentic]

8 – ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud said: “Whoever reads ‘al-Mulk’ (chapter 67 of the Qur’an) every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), we used to call it al-mani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allah, it is a chapter which – whoever recites it every night – has done very well.”

[‘Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib’; # 1475]

9 – “Whoever asks Allah sincerely for martyrdom [Allahumma inni as’aluk ash-shahadah], Allah will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even if he dies in his bed.”

[‘Sahih al-Bukhari’; # 1909]

10 – “No one witnesses that there is none worthy of worship but Allah and that I am Allah’s Messenger – truthfully, from his heart – except that Allah makes the Fire of Hell forbidden to touch him.”

[Reported by Muslim, Ahmad, and al-Bayhaqi]

For Those Who Are Not Able To Perform Hajj This Year!

Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī Raḥimahullāh said: “Whoever is not able to stop at Arafah, then stop at the limits of Allāh He has set.

Whoever is not able to spend the night at Muzdalifah, let him spend the night in obedience to Allāh to come close and attain nearness to Him.

Whoever is not able to slaughter at Minā, then let him slaughter his desires so by it he can reach his objective.

Whoever cannot make to Ka'bah and is far from it then let him serve the Lord of Ka'bah for He is nearer than jugular vein.”
