Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever wants knowledge then he should search in the Qur'ān, for indeed in it is the knowledge of the previous nations and the ones to come.”

Abul-ʿAaliyah said:
There will come upon the people a time when their hearts will be derelict of the Quran; they will find neither sweetness nor pleasure by it. If they fall short of doing what they have been commanded to do, they will say: Allah is most forgiving, merciful (He will forgive us); and if they do what they have been forbidden from doing, they will say: we will be forgiven, we have not committed any shirk with Allah.
Their affairs will all be based on [false] hope, having no truth and sincerity with it. They will wear the skins of lambs over hearts of wolves. The best of them in his religion will be someone who compromises.

Story of one of the most famous of Imam Ash Shafī'ī students, Al Buwayti rahimahullah. 🌹
When he refused to say that the Quran was created, he was imprisoned until he died in his prison cell in the year 231 Hijri.
When he (rahimahullah) used to hear the adhan of Jumu'ah from his prison cell, he would bathe, wear his best clothes and walk to the main gate of the prison intending to go for the prayer. But the guards refused him. He would then say: “O Allāh I responded to the call, but these have barred me.”

2. That you learn it.
3. That you recite it frequently.
4. That you contemplate and ponder upon it.
5. That you act upon it.
