Two Thai businessmen have sued Tether over the alleged illegal freezing of $42.4M in USDT at the request of US authorities.

The lawsuit claims Tether froze their wallets in October 2025 without a warrant or court order. A seizure warrant was later issued in February 2026, ordering the tokens burned and reissued to a government wallet.

The funds are allegedly linked to a $61M “pig butchering” laundering case, but the plaintiffs are challenging Tether’s authority to freeze assets without prior court approval.

An app called FomoPeek has been caught stealing private keys and seed phrases from iPhones.

SlowMist says versions 1.1 to 1.2 contain malicious code that exploits iOS vulnerabilities to gain the highest level of device access.

Once the exploit succeeds, wallet data, login credentials, chat history and files from ALL apps on the device can be accessed.

Binance is urging anyone who installed FomoPeek to delete it immediately, create a new wallet on a clean device and transfer all assets.
