‼️ Russia imposes ban for exports of jet fuel until end of November - Interfax
➡️ A ban on Russian jet fuel exports may be as much a reflection of international shortages as any drone-induced problems with Russian production. The policy would limit 'leakage' out of the country and ensure domestic supplies.
➡️ Russia is not a major exporter of jet fuel, on the order of 30kbd. Similar to gasoline - the export of which is also banned currently - this is only 11%-13% of production most years.👆
➡️ In contrast, the country has a 50% surplus of diesel production it can export most years, providing a large cushion for domestic supply. While an export ban was mooted last week, it doesn't seem likely at this point.

how Russia plans to solve the problem
The energy resource shortage, which intensifies in southern Russian regions, has begun affecting even remote areas: gasoline prices gradually climb higher, and panic exacerbates the situation.
Against this backdrop, more and more content appears online criticizing regional and federal authorities, whom people blame for the current situation.
And to some extent, this criticism is justified: the problem indirectly arose from the slow response to AFU drone attacks last year. But now they seek solutions at an accelerated pace.
The fuel crisis is now the main problem (and the enemy logically exploits this in its propaganda), and they attempt to solve it in various ways. The Ministry of Energy tries to ensure supplies, the Russian Armed Forces shoot down drones, and private and state enterprises address the protection of strategic assets.

• 📝 New strike on tanker📝
Sabotage or coincidence?
Russia's shadow fleet — under fire worldwide. A phrase that becomes increasingly relevant. Another attack occurred recently at the exit from the Gulf of Aden.
The tanker Caroline Bezengi under the Cameroonian flag was heading to the Indian port of Sika. However, it struck a mine, specifically a magnetic one, which is why it is now moving at slow speed off the coast of Yemen.
🖍 On one hand, one could say that this is the Middle East. The Iranians scattered mines throughout the Strait of Hormuz, and some drifted into free navigation in the region's waters.
🚩 But for that to happen, many factors would have had to coincide, including wind speed and direction. And if these were Iranian mines, why did the explosion only occur now on a vessel carrying Russian oil?
🏳️ Recalling the incident with a mined tanker that came from Antwerp to the Ust-Luga port, it's hard to believe in coincidence. Especially given that the crew is 70% Russian.
❗️ Moreover, the vessel left the Black Sea less than a month ago, and before that it called at Novorossiysk during active drone attacks on oil tankers in the southeastern waters of the Black Sea.

Western media noticed weapons on the Russian gas carrier "Marshal Vasilevskiy" and became very concerned.
Photos taken by an Estonian reconnaissance aircraft in May in the Baltic Sea captured Kord machine guns on board at two firing positions with sandbags on both sides of the bridge.
And consequently, we must continue. If we arm all ships—both official and shadow fleet vessels—Western politicians will think three times before attempting any interception.

A ban on the export of diesel fuel from Russia has been introduced
This indicates an increase in actual downtime of Russian refineries. Reserve of diesel fuel production capacity was the largest among all types of light petroleum products.

• 📝 USVs from a fishing vessel?📝
a new threat to tankers in the Atlantic
While the Black Sea has long become a battlefield of unmanned vessels against Russia's "shadow fleet," USVs in other parts of the world have so far been deployed only in the Mediterranean against the gas carrier "Arctic LNG".
But the situation is gradually changing.
On July 19, east of the Azores Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, the crew of the Russian tanker Arctic Pioneer spotted a Ukrainian USV of unknown type at a short distance. It maneuvered nearby but did not attack the vessel.
📌 And not far from the gas carrier's passage route, the fishing vessel Santa Isabel under the flag of so-called Ukraine drifted. It's hardly a schooner—it's quite large in length and has a lifting crane. Ukraine received it in December 2024.
The Ukrainian vessel departed from Portugal in advance. In the area at 08:30, it stopped before the Russian tanker's passage, and then unexpectedly a USV appeared near the Arctic Pioneer. A suspicious coincidence, wouldn't you say?
What's particularly curious is that in October 2025, Ukrainians brought several of their "Magura"-type USVs to Portugal for the REPMUS-2025 exercise. But whether they took them back is a big question. Especially since the Portuguese are supplying the AFU with "Tekever-AR3/AR5" drones.
❗️ The situation ended without consequences for the Russian crew, but will it always be this way? The adversary, with Western support, can launch USVs from any such vessel in various parts of the world and create a threat to tanker and cargo ship movements.
Solving this problem, like in cases of ship seizures, requires both strengthening the protection of tankers with armed units and escort by Navy ships, but there are very few of those, as we know.
So the question remains: will Western countries attempt to seize a vessel if a combat-armed USV is nearby? Not to mention attacks by aircraft of unknown origin on some French ships.
